No dramas here today lol. Minded M8 and J5 this morning. M was cutting out Ninjaco stars to sew on a black top. She had her red material already when I went over ha ha. Then we had to fill the bobbin and retread the machine, etc. She is very creative that girl. I went up to Bingo this afternoon. One of my friends has had her leg removed as well as various other operations. She is one of the most positive people I know. She's being trying new artificial limbs and is so funny when she describes them. She has us in stitches. I had to frog back my blanket. Mucked up the pattern and didn't even notice until tonight. I was very tired last night though. Well that's my excuse ha ha. makerealbany - 2016-01-08 23:53:00
Very tired myself, today, but still going out on bikes again. Yesterday not so great as I. got caught up with some friends from work that were out with their bikes. He spent most of the day talking to them and fixing their bikes so wasn't around to help when B10 or I got stuck. Then a really strong southerly got up that dragged all the dust up off the river bed. I ended up sitting in the car for the last hour. Hopefully today is better. grizzly4 - 2016-01-09 09:19:00
I can just imagine you tearing around on your bikes, getting stuck and all that dust ugh . They say men love to talk. My Sil is always yapping to someone or on the phone talking ha ha. Visited a son today, bought tea on the way home, too lazy to cook. Knitted more on the blanket. Two thirds done now. Was watching TV and knitting ,ignoring the phone calls ha ha. That's the wonderful thing about an answer phone. I can listen to the message on the loudspeaker and pick it up if I want to ho ho. My kids usually say " Mum pick up the phone" ha ha. They know me so well. makerealbany - 2016-01-10 00:07:00
LOL. The river was in flood yesterday such a change in 24 hours! We stuck to the tracks through the bush up around the stop bank. One track starts with a very steep drop from the stop bank and it terrifies me. I just can't do that first bit. Sigh. I. puts lots of support in trying to show me how to do it but my fear of heights gets the better of me every time. I think he's quite disappointed I'm not making as much progress as DIL. Maybe it's an age thing but I don't think I ever was a huge risk taker. grizzly4 - 2016-01-10 09:57:00
No you are sensible. We take longer to heal when we get broke as J5 says. Lol M8 went with her Mum for her second Surfing lesson at Piha Beach today. J announced he was staying at home with Nan because the " Bendy roads make me vomit Mum you know that" He is a very funny little boy but sensible. He stayed with me and we had a great time. They never got home until 5 so he would have been really tired and most likely carsick. makerealbany - 2016-01-10 22:30:00
Nothing worse than carsick children! DIL isn't well every time we go out as a family. I stick her in the front these days, really upsets I. LOL. We had a quiet day yesterday. We both agreed our holidays off together haven't been as good as we hoped. He was really down (I even checked he was taking his meds at one point) and his reasons weren't panning out. Finally he started talking yesterday and it's about his turning 60 in March. It's finally hit him that he's not as young as he tries to make out and that there is a limit now on how long he will be able to work in his job for etc, etc, which will severely limit access to funds for his rather expensive hobbies. I'm glad he is being realistic but as usual he's a bit over the top about it, wanting to sell the big road bike to free up cash. Of course in the next breath he wants to upgrade his quad bike. Sigh. If he sells the big bike I know in a few months he will want to finance an even bigger one. It's truly never ending. He admits he was even looking at upgrading his car over Christmas as well. The spending is his quick fix for his depression usually. Vicious cycle and very hard to live with at times. We will never be rich that's for sure. Between his relationship with finance companies and me needing to take out income protection insurance policies to cover each thing he finances. Phew, that's all a bit heavy duty at this time of the morning. As you can tell he started back at work again today so we are back to early starts. I am back at the shop properly today and back at work on Thursday for a couple of days preparation for the holiday programme which starts next week. I think the first thing I might do is schedule another week off in March. LOL. It will be my 25th anniversary at work so I might take my bonus weeks leave straight away. I will still have early starts but I can have a crafty week with no one around. grizzly4 - 2016-01-11 06:38:00
That's a darn good idea. Have time to yourself. Sil is home on Wednesday and they are all off camping for a week or so from Sat. Yippee ha ha. I so need more time to myself. Took the kids to their swimming lessons, came home , fed them then had to take them for Karate. What a day ha ha. I'm relaxing knitting sox for the hospital . Men and their toys grrrr. makerealbany - 2016-01-12 00:08:00
Sounds like you are running your own holiday programme for those kids. LOL. I have been knitting baby sox for the last couple of days but started a another cardy, beanie and bootees set last night in white with a blue stripe and sail boats. I put the fairisle cardy in the window display I did yesterday morning and it sold within half an hour. LOL. Score! I'm off for a haircut this morning and my main mission is to start washing the drapes throughout the house. I do them by hand, one room at a time when the weather is good. grizzly4 - 2016-01-12 06:19:00
KItchen drapes done! Weather has changed again! so won't be doing any today. Grrr! It will an errand day today by the looks of it. Last day before going back to work, too. I have managed to finish the book I started on Sunday and finish the adult colouring in picture I started before Christmas. Please note that's the first picture finished not the whole colouring in book LOL. The cardy I have started is knitted all in one to armholes and that's where I'm up to with that. It's a shame I haven't done any sewing as I need to finish 'The Dress' before i start the jacket which I bought the loveliest white suiting material for this week. Apparently DIL has a dress to finish that she started 2 years ago when she was still working for the DHB. We are thinking we should work together to get them both finished for I.'s 60th in March. At least they would be finished then. LOL. grizzly4 - 2016-01-13 06:18:00
Sounds like a plan. I had to go to the house which settles next Monday. When the boys took the fridge out they scrapped paint off the wall Grrr. I had to go and retouch it. Grabbed the tin marked white , got down there. It was grey, had to drive all the way back for more paint. I was very annoyed . Got that done, went out the back and part of the trellis on the deck had broken in the wind and was hanging down. I felt like crying. Blardy house has driven me crazy lol. I couldn't fix it. No tools and my back was so sore. Came home and sent an email to ex Dil. She can get it fixed . Told her A and A are going on holidays. Haven't heard back yet. Darn real estate agent rang and asked if they could have an open house there this Sunday for renters. Lying Agent told us they were first home buyers but they are investors . We said they can wait until it settles. I feel so frustrated I couldn't even relax and knit. I might do myself an injury with those needles lol. Ah well its nearly over. makerealbany - 2016-01-13 23:51:00
What a mess, I can see why you are feeling frustrated. I hope it all goes well for Monday. I had a quiet day yesterday as it was so cold although I did a bit of weeding later in the afternoon. Loaded fabric auctions on to TM for the shop and I watched the Burlesque DVD while I had some lunch and did some knitting. Just love the music in that movie. Backs and fronts are done and about 2 thirds up the first sleeve. I am using a variegated blue yarn for stripes and sail boats and it is looking quite effective.Bought some wool on TM to start doing the wee double breasted coats ready to have in shop by Easter. They were quite popular last year so here's hoping. Off to work today, holidays went too fast, but I am planning short days this week as an slow build up to the busy week ahead next week. grizzly4 - 2016-01-14 06:46:00
My brain was tired yesterday from all the thinking! And have to do it again today. LOL. I have nearly finished the second sleeve for the wee cardy. Yahoo. grizzly4 - 2016-01-15 06:43:00
Well I'm exhausted after 4 conversations with my sisters re Mums Unveiling. Sigh. Tonight I'm going to knit some beanies for the hospital and relax. Can only concentrate on small things lol. My ex DiL is getting her Dad to fix that trellis. Thank heavens. I hurt my back and thought it was getting better but painkillers every 4 hours are not even touching it yuk. I'm having a me day tomorrow yes indeed I need to recharge my batteries lol. You re really motivated with your knitting. makerealbany - 2016-01-15 19:03:00
Yes, I feel quite motivated about the knitting, not so much my work. LOL. I'm sorry to hear about your back. This crazy weather down here is playing havoc with my joints. I feel very old some days. I hope your 'me' day does you good. It is pouring here but our new mattress has arrived in store so we need to pick it up. I think I will leave that job to I. and son S. Ha ha. I will cook for everyone as usual although my oven is playing up. Having to turn it off at the wall this week as it won't switch off otherwise. !! With the holiday programme starting on Monday for the next 2 weeks It will be difficult to make time for an electrician to call. Sigh. grizzly4 - 2016-01-16 10:21:00
Very pleasant day with family despite the rain yesterday. I even finished hand stitching the applique design on a polar fleece knee rug I started at the Women's Group during last winter! LOL. Very please with it and it will come in handy for the cold evenings ahead. Also finished the bootees to match the cardy. Off to find more white buttons today. It's still drizzling so lawns are too wet to mow and weeds are just loving it and growing by the minute. Grr. grizzly4 - 2016-01-17 10:17:00
I'm ignoring the weeds this weekend. I have spent hours on the phone with my sisters I'm on strike today . I am still knitting beanies which is great. Quick ha ha. I'm now going to sit ,yep and watch a movie. K 6 will arrive later for a few days. So much for quiet me time sigh. He is over C5 visiting there. Can't say I don't blame him. C is a handful and as K6 says " Nana he never shuts up. I need earplugs or a turnoff switch" ha ha Never mind K is very quiet by himself lol. I just realised I haven't had a bite to eat and I'm starving. makerealbany - 2016-01-17 12:12:00
On Strike! Great idea. LOL. Forgetting to eat? Not so great. Raining again today so plans for children's trip are going to have to be changed. Sigh. Such a drama changing bus schedules and venues etc. And I still have to be in shop at 9. grizzly4 - 2016-01-18 06:01:00
That sounds a great idea about the frozen material on the towels. It's raining here now . A said it blew up north last night and the kids were scared and have already decided camping in tents is not ok lol. Poor little things must have been scared silly. S said the tent flapped around and even he was worried it would blow away. makerealbany - 2016-01-18 22:53:00
Absolutely manic day at work yesterday. I hate the first day of the holiday programmes, especially as I still have to be at the shop by 9 as well. We are starting even earlier this year so some of the kids were arriving before 8. One parent came off her motor scooter in the rain on the way so had to include support for her into the mix as well. I brought B7 home early so that was the bonus but his mum is in lots of pain at present so needed to talk that through so wasn't really down time at all. Looks like I. has sold his big road bike but in the midst of organising that TM sends an email alert that someone enquiring into one of our auctions is really dodgy but they won't say which one! Can you believe it? Big money involved in this bike and now we aren't sure to trust what's happening. grizzly4 - 2016-01-19 06:25:00
The money is in our account but the bank suggests waiting 24 hours to see if they try to reverse it. Grrr! I. has to day off as the new tv is being installed and electrician is coming to repair oven so would have been good timing to organise shipping the bike as well. Oh well. Not much I can do. I have so much work on at present I can't think about too much else, it's such a relief that I. is dealing with everything else today. grizzly4 - 2016-01-20 06:38:00
Blast it I was really laid up with it yesterday. Another lousy night but improving tonight. Lots of hats knitted lol. I even managed to cook some plums for jelly making. Got it dripping now. makerealbany - 2016-01-21 00:11:00
I agree some trades can be really frustrating. I'm selling a book that one person asked numerous questions about, all with the best of positive responses and yet they never bought it. I. couldn't wait once he knew the money was in the bank. He went straight to Smiths City who hadn't confirmed with the installation service that our new tv was to be installed yesterday. Luckily he rang the guy to check arrival time and found out they didn't know anything about it! Turned out not only did they sort out the installation because I. had taken a day off work for it but they cancelled the initial finance agreement and let him pay the cash price. This was with a new DVD player thrown in for good measure. LOL. Good job I. He also was home for the electrician to install the new bathroom heater and to check out the oven which may not be able to be fixed, sadly. It's a really good wall oven and at 60 years old much bigger than the new ones these days. Matches one of the original hob stoves installed in those days as well. I bet when they first built this house it was state of the art! LOL. grizzly4 - 2016-01-21 06:38:00
Phew, glad the weekend is nearly here! I feel like I could sleep for a week. LOL. I much prefer the hot sunny days but 30 degree ones really knock it out of you by the end of the day. I actually managed to get most of the 2nd front done last night of a cardy I started on Sunday. Might be pushing it to get it finished by Monday. grizzly4 - 2016-01-22 06:31:00
Yes some people are peculiar alright lol. I finally got three parcels all at once. New Zealand Post are getting worse. I think they just stash them until the normal mail is light and then throw them in. Ihave just finished making Plum Jam. I had already made Plum Jelly and Plum and Orange Marmalade. I've done a doz little Beanies and want to do a doz more. I have so much to do and no time ha ha. I have been working late outside trying to tidy up. It's better in the early morning and in the evening. The heat is too tiring ha ha. makerealbany - 2016-01-23 01:11:00
I agree about the heat but still prefer it to cold winds and rain. You have been busy and look at the time you posted your message! That marmalade sounds interesting, I haven't tried that combination. Have the contractors started back on your garden or retaining wall yet this year? grizzly4 - 2016-01-23 06:51:00
Cardy will definitely not be finished for tomorrow! LOL. Birthday party ended with family splitting off to do different things. DIL and had a movie marathon at home, L8 stayed over with S and B7 and they went to Speedway with I. and son S. Everyone had a good time. DIL and I were happy to sit in the cool as it was 32 degrees here yesterday and still 25 at 10pm. We have some repair jobs to do at work today and as you can tell it's been a late start. LOL. And I really need to tidy the front garden before the weather changes again this week. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. grizzly4 - 2016-01-24 11:26:00
Achieved quite a bit over the weekend, thank goodness but not in the knitting. LOL. Weekends just fly by when you're busy, don't they? I'm left wanting at least another day to catch my breath. But there's no rest for the wicked, as they say, and it's back to work I go. Weather is supposed to stay fine today so the programme can stay to schedule and go out for the day. I got enough of a break on Friday to work on my accounts and would love to get them finished today. Mind you with the shop first it's a shorter day in the office. Sigh. You ok, makerealbany? grizzly4 - 2016-01-25 06:38:00
Getting there. I think I have just tried to do too much. Yesterday I had a raging headache after a really busy day. Highlight was K6 and I spent three hours at the Park with little E4. She had such fun with her cousin. Climbing trees, exploring a cottage which was over 100 years old, looking at fossils thru the huge microscope and then seeing them on T V. It was fantastic listening to her and K giggling all morning. The driving gets me and all the traffic as well. I made the Plum sauce as well as more jam and jelly. I cooked more darn plums and froze them in bags for the smoothies and that's it. I'm over plums ha ha. I scratched my arm badly pruning the roses and it got infected. Blistered up so I must have got some sap in it. I never noticed my arm was bleeding until I had a shower. That's the problem I don't feel cuts, etc so I never know what I've done until either someone else sees it or I shower. I went to get a warrant for my car this morning . I need a new tyre. It was rubbing on the inside so I'll get one and a wheel alignment . I'm sitting with my feet in a bucket of cold water. They swell up in the heat and I guess because I m on my feet a lot. I'm going to knit tonight. Haven't felt like it. Kids should be home tomorrow or next day. makerealbany - 2016-01-25 19:26:00
Gosh, you did so much even though you wren't feeling 100%! I hope you are feeling better today. We cooler wet days for the rest of the week so I might get a bit more done at work. Yesterday was useless, I felt like I had run into a brick wall. Was probable a mixture of the heat and low blood sugar. I ended up coming home by 3. Was really craving a coffee frappe from McDonalds but neither store on the way home had coffee syrup to make one! Ridiculous! I refused to buy anything else to make do and came home for a diet coke and a nap. LOL. Nearly finished the 2nd sleeve last night, most I've done in ages. grizzly4 - 2016-01-26 06:28:00
I've been drinking gallons of water it's so hot. Spent the day cleaning lol. I showered the three dogs, scrubbed out and disinfected their kennels and washed all their cushions and blankets. makerealbany - 2016-01-26 22:51:00
Off to bed early! LOL. Really? check the time of that message. LOL. I had been in the land of nod an hour by then. I. is at home again today but not well this time. Just as well really as he had to ask son S to meet the transport company at home today when they pick up the big bike. Really sad so I'm glad I won't be here. I can't imagine him not being on a road bike (quads don't count). It's part of who he is and very sad that the driving of others has put him off to this extent. The bike has been bought by someone in Auckland. I see storms are heading your way again, does that cool things down for you or just make it more humid? grizzly4 - 2016-01-27 06:46:00
It got really humid but no storms yet. Yes it will be a change for I without his bike. Kids arrived home about 6 tonight. They had a blast on their camping trip. They stuck their food in their fridge. Put it in the cars d drive home lol. It's a fab camping fridge. Not like the camping we did when they were children. It's delux all the way now ha ha. I went off early to get my new tyres put on the car and a wheel alignment . $300 later. I took K6 to his swimming lesson after the library and drove home at 5. Was supposed to go back for a haircut but couldn't be bothered. Only knitted 1 hat tonight. Very slow. Ha ha makerealbany - 2016-01-28 00:33:00
And very late to bed again, I see. LOL. I. failed the warrant for his car yesterday because of tyres, too. We decided to put 4 new ones on with a wheel alignment as well. $1000! It will be my cars turn for the same in a few months. Sigh. They really are shoddy tyres that come in on the imports. With all the drama at the end of last year with 1 programme closing and 1 opening I completely missed a major funding deadline!!!!!! I feel absolutely sick about it and don't understand why I never got their usual email telling me the funding round had opened a couple of months earlier than that. I've been trying to work out a new strategy around it to get through to the next round in 6 months. I think I have a plan now but, of course, it all depends on whether the money comes through. I woke up at 4.30am with an awful headache. I have also put a new system in place so it doesn't happen again. You know how they say everything happens for a reason? Well I'm looking for the reason other than just my incompetance. Grrr. grizzly4 - 2016-01-28 06:33:00
I. still home not well. Doctor thinks might be an inner ear problem. Sigh. It has been a hard week and it's only the 2nd full week back at work. Doesn't bode well for the New Year, really. On the upside looks like the sun might come back for a visit over the weekend. It's felt like winter most of this week. grizzly4 - 2016-01-29 06:48:00
I'm okay. Last night my second son W came over with a present for me. He and his lovely wife bought me a new Laptop. He connected it up to my printer which has sat idle for a couple of years. Just had enough ink to do the test lol. The colours are fine but the black is nearly empty and you have to buy it in a cartridge Grrr. He changed my password on my IPad and did all the necessary things. I can even work on my laptop in another room and still print yippee. I have a few patterns stored in Ravelry but I like to have a printed copy of things. I'm delighted. makerealbany - 2016-01-29 20:08:00
Thank you for your kind words. The responsibility is weighing heavily considering how good I was feeling about everything at the end of last year. It's my first stuff up in this role, I guess you always feel the first worst, and I'm sure there will be more to come. LOL (Not big ones though, I hope). grizzly4 - 2016-01-30 09:59:00
I made some Riccoto Cheese last night. Turned out really well. All my other tasks were completed last night yah. I have a Red Curry Casserole on to take to my youngest Son's for tea. Made a trifle and put that in the fridge so just need to cook the rice when I get there. I've cleaned up everything so I'm knitting. I was given some Patons fair isle for my little hats. It's quite cute aye that wool. I'm staying out of the garden today , too jolly hot. makerealbany - 2016-01-30 15:09:00
All that cooking in that heat! Well done. Spent my day cooking and playing games with B10 and L8. LOL. I had a quiet evening on my own knitting. Lovely. Going to try to get those plants into the garden today. grizzly4 - 2016-01-31 09:53:00
Had a relaxing day. Pottered here and there lol. I searched my junk cupboard which is what I call the cupboard where I put things when I don't know where else to put them ha ha. I remembered T and S had me a Mad Millie's Cheesemaking kit. Found it and to my delight it had a Thermometer in it plus more cheese muslin, some mounds plus Rennet, citric acid etc. So now I'm trying to access whole milk from a local . Just finished stewing plums for the freezer. I have one more lot to do tonight. Just doing these in the microwave. T has heaps of tomatoes so they'll be on the list next. Was going to bake tonight butI didn't have any butter. First time I've run out of Butter. Lol. makerealbany - 2016-02-01 00:25:00
You are cooking up a storm! Making cheese is something son S would like to get into. LOL. I ust check out the kits available down here before his birthday. The grandson's birthdays are going to be easy this year - they want vouchers to buy their own stuff. And we have been asked for gumboots for them for Easter this year so no decisions to make at all. I'm trying to talk daughter S out of an engagement party using I.'s 60th as an excuse. The real reason of course is the relationship is really rocky and is only going well when she puts more money into his stock car and looks after his daughter! Grrr. I have the cardy finished along with a few dolls clothes to take into the shop this morning. Started a dolls blanket last night which is about half done, using up bits. grizzly4 - 2016-02-01 06:30:00
I have the BeginnersItalian Cheeses Mad Millie Kit which is great. Mind you I can make Ricotto without the kit. Need the thermometer for the other cheeses though. It's great fun really. Omg I hope you do talk her out of an engagement Party. Why is she attracted to such a user. Sometimes our kids drive us crazy Grrr. I have been winding cakes from the skeins I have bought. It's so slow lol. I'm trying to organise my stash and I want all the skeins to be wound. They are easier to stack. Grandchildren off to school tomorrow. It's J5s first day. I'm so nervous and so is his Mum. He told me I had to be home when he got home from school ha ha. He always pops over every morning to say hi and bye and love you Nana. He's rather a special little boy. makerealbany - 2016-02-01 23:16:00
All our schools went back yesterday so it was absolute chaos at work with2 programmes starting up for the new year. One for the first time ever for 10-14 year olds. DIL filled in as relief for a sick staff member. She has worked in this role while studying for the last year to help us both out but she worked on the off site programme so I didn't see much of her. I was very pleasantly surprised yesterday, she was great with the kids and took on tasks I wouldn't have asked a reliever to do. It was really funny that L8 completely ignored his Mum being there. LOL. I hope J5 has a good first day today, I'll bet he's excited despite the rest of you being understandably nervous. grizzly4 - 2016-02-02 06:39:00
He had a good day but M8 got very upset because she was not allowed to go check on him. Those are the rules at her school. He went into his playground to play and saw her crying at the edge. He ran over and gave her a big cuddle and asked her what was wrong. Bless him. She calmed down once he knew he was ok. Mum and Dad are going to talk to her teacher tomorrow lol. I am not feeling very energetic today. Rested most of he day and only knitted 2 hats. Thank goodness your DIL was there to help. It must have been chaos at lots of places ha ha. makerealbany - 2016-02-02 23:23:00
The roadworks are horrendous at present from just east of my work down past the shop to the next main intersection. It's a main road and we are opposite a school with a roll of close to 500. They are working across the pedestrian crossing and there is no parking close to us at all at present. Our carpark is full as all staff are based at the one site now so parents are pulling up anywhere in the driveway to pick up their children. There is a house up the back that shares the drive so they are yelling (literally)at me to fix the problem. Really? I have tackled parents and provided suggestions of alternative places with the shortest walk but they still persist in doing it their way. Today I'm thinking of coning off the end of the drive to protect the children leaving at the end of the day. grizzly4 - 2016-02-03 06:25:00
Cones worked a treat till one Dad moved them so he could park on driveway!!!! Can you believe it? Had an evening to myself yesterday as S's partner needed I's help with the stock car to get it ready for racing this Sunday. I am so worried about so many things at present that I couldn't spend the evening debating the merits of her relationship so I stayed home. A bit selfish I guess. A new wall oven also appeared in our house yesterday after the landlord not being able to fix the 60 year old one wee had. The new ones are less than half the size so shelf above it will be built over next couple of days. I am working on an aran matinee set at present but it's slow going 'cos I'm so sleepy in the evenings. I am having to really push myself to water the gardens once the sun goes down.I'm loving the front garden with the new plants, though. grizzly4 - 2016-02-04 06:36:00
Yes I can believe it. I've seen parents do it all the time duh. What a problem. Too much stress girl. It's a wonder you don't blow your stack every now and then ha ha. I spent 4 hours cleaning my youngest son's barbecue which is stored on my deck. It's a monster. I don't think he had ever checked it when he got down. I had to scrub it with the wire rush. That's what you get for looking under covers lol. After that I repotted some herbs and then fell into bed . I need t go and get cat and dog food this morning. I haven't been out all week so I'm tetchy ha ha. You stay home anytime you want to. Hope today is a better day for you. I'll be winding wool into cakes later. I'm going to do an inventory because Ihave no idea of what I have really. Should be fun. makerealbany - 2016-02-04 07:49:00
I have been buying fabric online this morning so I can make children's sets of towels with borders for the shop. I have Frozen fabric here already and just bought 'The Good Dinosaur', Star Wars and Minions fabrics. LOL. Shame I didn't do this before Christmas! grizzly4 - 2016-02-05 06:49:00

Not sure if we are staying the night or not. I want to come home but A is not keen ha ha. Towels will be lovely. Do not mention the C word ha ha. makerealbany - 2016-02-05 22:51:00 |
I hope you have a lovely day today with family. It feels a bit weird now that Waitangi Day is Mondayised. Taken something away from the specialness or something. Just feels odd. Having said that this day last year I ended up with a cast on my arm. LOL. I came home early yesterday, felt like I had hit a brick wall. Cried all the way through the end of my book which was quite cathartic for me personally, LOL. Then worried all evening about funding. Sigh. Not cathartic enough it would seem. Going to try and keep myself busy with family today and try out the new wall oven. Yahoo. grizzly4 - 2016-02-06 09:53:00
I have an unexpected day to myself! I was supposed to be going to a speedway meeting to watch S's partner take his car out on the track for the first time but they needed to be out there by 8 this morning yet the racing didn't start till 1pm. I couldn't handle the 5 hours of waiting around with 2 bored children and S not feeling well, knowing there is so much here to be doing. Yep I feel guilty but realistic about my stress levels at present, too. So... I have planned a day in the garden, doing the end of month stuff for the shop, making up the first set of towels hopefully and some knitting. And probably some cooking, LOL, as both son S and DIL are working tomorrow so L8 and B10 will be here most of the day. If I get my tasks done today we can take them swimming or something tomorrow. grizzly4 - 2016-02-07 08:31:00
