THE NEW COIN CLUB

#Post
651

Welcome to the Coin Club. We are an assortment of newbies, amateurs and experts with questions and answers for newbies, amateurs and experts in coin collecting, also known as numismatics. Whether you are just getting started, have been collecting for years or have simply found some old coins about the place that you’d like to sell, this is the place to ask your questions.

No one has all the answers, and you may get five differing answers to the same question, yet each may be right in a manner of speaking, especially if opinions are involved. Opinions often vary. If you receive no answer to your query within 48 hours, please ask again.

Well sorry must leave the hilarity off to bed, Some of us have to work you know.
As for the farthing I showed earlier I got the price wrong it was $1.75.
It was on our coin club bid table and no one wanted it so I said I would give it a nice home.
Nite all. (including all you lurkers that never read the coin club thread You know who I mean)

Haven't actually paid for it yet I have to do a weeks overtime to build up enough cash reserves.

You know what they say - "that which we obtain too cheaply we esteem too lightly". So it's good that you have to do all that OT.

On the subject of grading I saw a 3 shillings UK coin that is apparently unc. Anyone offer any advances on unc?

For those who may not have seen it.

History channel on Sky tonight at 9.25 is "The hunt for the Double Eagle".

As explained ... the most valuable and infamous coin in the world.

Haha! Nice, and already a negative feedback. Shall we start a pool on how long it takes for the hydra to lose this head and grow a new one.....

And maybe the three shillings is really "super-duper unc". It is nice, but unc it ain't.

Will that focus on the 1933? Sadly no history channel here. Maybe I can find it online.

Yep, the 1933 solid gold fella. It's not a bad yarn.

Sorry can't record it for you, don't have that facility. Maybe some other nice person in the coin club may be able to.

Personally I wouldn't disagree with 95 years combined numismatic experience! I suspect blacklisting so many people is a cunning ploy to keep customers because they must lose them everytime they answer their questions so adeptly.

I think you are very correct and think this new incarnation will be quite short. I'd bet on about a month.

I do need to keep a closer eye on offers. I got offered a 1762 3 pence this evening for a $1 and missed out on it.
