Yes you can you are Wonder Woman ha ha. K 23 arrived and promptly got hay fever . He loves it down there but soon as he gets up here it starts. No crocheting for me tonight. Lots of legal stuff going on which requires lots of paperwork grrrrr.

I spent my day off pretty much in the car picking up and dropping off. Terrible headache by the end of it all. I. left on the motorbike this morning as I have staff training tonight but just had a call that the battery on the bike has just failed and he's having to push the bike home a couple of kilometres so I can drive him to work. When I get back I will have to contact staff and postpone tonights training because I will have to pick him up. His car is at the auto electricians so hopefully we hear some good news.

Lordy what a day you pair had. Tomorrow will be better. Sending you good vibes. I had a day of answering irate calls and texts from my naughty sister. I decided by 2 this afternoon I was over it so ignored the calls and didn't read any more texts ha ha. Checked my phone tonight and had to ring two f my other sisters who had also been besieged . My Gosh that girl needs something to do lol. Did some more crocheting tonight. M's blanket is growing. I'm getting over purple now ha ha.

Nothing worse than constant txts and phone calls. Is the blanket all the one shade of purple? I's car is fixed and back and he went to work quite happy in our normal routine, thank goodness. APPARENTLY when he was testing the wiring on the trailer which was hooked up to the car on Sunday he blew a fuse which caused a bit of a melt down in the computer programming. A new fuse, 2 light bulbs and $163 later it's sorted. Grrr!
I am working on a fairisle cardy at present. Back and both fronts are done, only started it Sunday, so good going for me. I'm loving the colours of white, blue and green I chose so will have to photograph it to show you when it's finished.

No it's a mixture of variegated and plain purple colours. Must be the week for cars. My grandsons girlfriend's car stopped on the motorway. T had to start work late and finish late to bring her home this morning. Apparently her car had 2 oil tanks. She had only filled one. Even her Dadhad no idea there was a second small one underneath. Motor seized so that's that car gone to the wreckers. Too old to fix. She had it for 3 years.
T said her ward was filled to 150 percent occupancy duh. She had to work on the floor and they ran all day until she left at 8.30 tonight. So understaffed. It's frightening when you think about it. That's when mistakes happen because everyone Is so exhausted. DHBs have a budget for staff and that is it. Another of her staff is leaving because she is so worn out. She's going to give up Midwifery even though she loves it and is a fantastic Midwife. T is really sorry to lose her but people have to keep themselves safe and happy. I off to bed late tonight.

You did have a late night! I was in bed just after 9 last night, I felt like I'd hit a brick wall. Must have been all the dramas catching up on me. I have a 'people' day today - a supervision client this morning, we are hosting a lunch for some people in the community and then my own supervision this afternoon. In between I will be working on the accounts. I've only managed to work my way up half a sleeve on the cardy with having such an early night. Oh well, better luck tonight.
How are you feeling these days, makerealbany? I think I've had a bit of a break through with my hand. No thanks to the doctor I never heard back from. I was taking neuromol twice a day with neurofen in between during the 3 weeks I had that bad cold as it really relieved the cold symptoms. My hand was a bit sore when I first came off the medication but it seems to be much better now. Still cracks a bit now and then but I'm so relieved the intense pain seems to be gone. Even after shifting S last week. LOL.

I have this feeling of dread about today and I have absolutely no idea why! One minute last night I was busy making plans the next I was feeling very anxious but couldn't put my finger on the specific cause. It's still there this morning. I was planning on bringing books home to work on early before going in to the office but forgot them so have mucked up that plan. Apparently the oven has stopped working so have to sort that out and I have a parent wanting to see me about an issue that arose yesterday but I can't see why any of that is making me feel like this. I will have to get stuck into housework this morning and maybe that will shift whatever it is. I've felt like this a few times in the past prior to something unexpected happening and I've always told myself afterward to pay more attention to when I feel like this. Well, I'm paying attention but it's not helping, I kind of feel like I'm waiting for something to happen now. Sigh. Not healthy either way, I should imagine. 2 of the worst times was when I. had an accident in his truck out of town. I was absolutely fine one minute at work, the next I was so upset I was physically sick. I knew something had happened and rang his boss, imagine their shock as the accident had just happened! The other bad one was an hour before the February 2011 earthquake hit. I was on the 10th floor of car parking building and I had my first ever panic attack for absolutely no reason but I knew I had to get out of that building, I must have looked like a maniac driving out of there but thank goodness I did and I was still feeling pretty weird by the time I got to the office which is why we wound up going to the mall for lunch and that's where we were when it hit. Oh well I'll keep you posted......

Well I got through the day, LOL. I'm glad I was so busy as I was conscious that feeling was sitting on my shoulder the whole day. I was really late home because a parent wanted to talk to me so it was lovely that I. was already there ready to go out for tea. I love it when the lights are already on when I get home, the house looks so welcoming and I was ok from that point I think. Weird. And I remembered to bring the books home to work on over the weekend. LOL. I've nearly finished the 2nd sleeve on the cardy as well. Just the bands to do and sewing up and I can photograph it to show you.

The jolly Internet was out again grrrrr. How awful feeling like that. Thank goodness nothing happened. I always of with my gut instinct( so to speak ) lol. I felt like that when my late SILs boss rang. Before he told me he was missing I knew he had gone. When I tried to ring Mum and she didn't answer I knew she had gone.
I have my good days and not so good days. A and S are in Wellington for a Wedding. Bad timing but A hardly ever gets time away from the kids so I was determined she could go. J has a cold so no Soccer for him today. He's so Independant now ha ha. He's been playing with Lego and he's sooooo Quiet . We dropped M7 at soccer and one of A' s friends is bringing her home for me. We are staying warm inside. The kids were so well behaved last night and this morning it's easy minding them. J4 has just told me "Nana Lego is done and dusted" ha ha He's put it all away and wants the Playdoh. I had better get it out of the top cupboard.

I spent the afternoon shopping in Bunnings for plants with son S and playing Uno and Empire Monopoly with B10 and L8. We have great fun playing board games, I hope they never out grow playing with their Nana. None of the adults will play. Sigh.

I know what you mean I play Board Games with my grandchildren as well. A and S got home this afternoon. They had a great weekend. I crawled into my bed and napped at 5 woke up at 7 and I'm going back to bed now. I have a cold and am feeling k o ed. Lol.

You don't need a cold on top of everything else! I hope you are feeling better after your sleep. I had a very productive day yesterday, accounts up to date for work just got to do the GST now, started tidying some of the gardens and put in some giant pansies, glasshouse fed with sheep pellets and lettuces ready to go in and I finished the cardy.

Oh that's lovely. What a lovely knitter you are. YesI have a cold. Just irritates me in the rib area lol. Actually it's a pain. I catch everything sigh. Having good food hasn't built me up yet. See I want an instant fix ha ha. Took my grandson to the Airport tonight so he's back there now. He lives the cool crisp air of Christchurch. I'm still on the Purple Blanket sigh. I swear it unwinds itself.

I am sorry you have a cold, they can make you feel as miserable as anything else. I'm glad you like the cardy as well. I like those colours together and I want to a more girlie one but haven't decided which colours yet. Did a we pair of sox last night but tonight I have B7's school performance. He is very proud of having 14 lines to say this year but his teacher has given up getting those lines word perfect. LOL. Apparently he makes them up as he goes along. That's the B I know and love. A real wee drama queen like his Mum. LOL. She loved being centre stage when she was young, too.

I hope B7s show went well. Both M7 and J4 love doing shows. K6 is not keen at all ha ha. I'm off to my GP tomorrow. Cough is really bad now. It just blew up into a full on infection. Drat it. Felt lousy all day although I did manage a bit of crocheting. Supposed to drive to Rotorua for a Family Meeting this Saturday but?????? Ah well can't go if I'm not right.

Your immune system is probably really low after everything you've been through the last wee while. I'm glad you are thinking of putting yourself first this weekend anyway. I have 2 friends in surgery tomorrow, 1 having a hip replacement and 1 having a bowel resection due to cancer being diagnosed last week. So much unpleasant stuff going on for people at present. There is another staff member with a bad cold at work and she cracked a rib while coughing during the weekend! Yet another friend with I've mentioned with intense back pain is almost into her 6th week with it and no diagnosis with it. They have ruled out injury, it's not related to the lump they found in her breast which turned out to a cyst although she is waiting for blood test results to rule out cancer of the bone. She is also having faecal tests so not allowed any meat for 6 days. Haven't heard of that one before. I so wish I could help her. Not knowing what it is, is awful.
B7's show was wonderful - Pirates vs Mermaids. He was a very theatrical pirate!! Centre stage even when sitting waiting for his next bit. LOL. We laughed so much. Then he got so upset afterward because he had to go home with his Dad who had come to pick him up as it was his week. It was heartbreaking. It was also the first time I had seen C in nearly 2 years, he didn't acknowledge us but I felt really sad that he was no longer a part of our family, we tried so hard over 12 years to include him and it never worked. Now it's like it never happened and I was surprised how sad I felt about that. Daughter S managed all the drama off stage last night really well, thank goodness.
Still working on little sox at present. I may start another dolls blanket tonight.

Yes everywhere you turn people are going through hard times. I don't know what my family did in a previous life but it makes me wonder. It's difficult when you are closely connected to people and trying to be supportive as well as keeping yourself in one piece sigh.
I'm glad B7 had a great show. Sad for him though afterwards. That ex Sil is really childish and selfish. My families Exs all maintain contact with us. Sometimes too much lol. I have not looked at my blanket today. Too many things too do. Just finished paperwork and dropping into bed. I so love my electric blanket ha ha.

Had a hilarious game of ten pin bowls yesterday with the women's group. It was a good morning and just what I needed before spending over 2 hours with computer technician. I learnt heaps and a few things were sorted on the system we have at work. It was all juggled around staff away sick though which was a bit manic but worked ok in the end. Hopefully today will be a bit quieter. Fingers crossed. Knitted one bootee last night but too tired to do the second. LOL.

I haven't played Ten Pin Bowling for years. Used to really enjoy it. Nice and relaxing for you. I got my hair cut and coloured today. One of my birthday Pressies. She was really good helping me up out of the chair ha ha. Wasn't too bad. Started coughing 5 minutes before she finished. My daughter T had been searching for another Hairdresser who was quick and didn't keep you there for 4 hours. I kid you not . That is for a cut, colour and foils. This girl took 1 hour 30 minutes which is great. She cut my hair shorter exactly how I wanted it. Actually listened to her client ha ha. I did the usual clean up at T's after the hairdresser, loaded the car and came home. Poor T tried out a pair of Cleaners a couple of weeks ago but they were not very good. Just wiped around the bench appliances, didn't move anything, didn't polish or dust. Bathrooms looked okay but on closer inspection by me ( The cleaning Boss) they had not sprayed the corners of the Showers and the bath felt gritty. Dishwasher door was smeary as was the refrigerator. T was so disappointed. K likes his Childminder. That's a big bonus ha ha. Having Monday and Friday off is great for me. K saves all the bread crusts and anything else he can in a container for C as she has chooks. She brought him a dozen fresh eggs on Monday so he's even keener to feed the chooks now ha ha. I have just finished manicuring my nails. They were a mess and no wonder. I feel nearly normal again after looking at myself in the mirror this morning and wondering who the devil was looking back at me ha ha. It's so easy to let yourself go when you are sick. I am going to get my eyebrows done tomorrow morning. I haven't done them since Christmas. Yes they are so bushy it's embarrassing lol. Right bedtime for me.

Lots of TLC for you! Good on you. It was a weird day yesterday, I kind of plodded from one thing to the next and felt like I'd hit a brick wall by the time I got home. Worked longer hours this week. No idea how I'm going to use up my time-in-lieu hours when people are sick or needing time off themselves. I have a Supervision client this morning so not going into work till after that. It's a nice way to start the day LOL. I have 2 clients, one on each side of the city, and I meet them in local cafes, away from both our work spaces. I love providing Supervision but any more than 2 plus the shop stuff is too hard to juggle around work. And of course I provide internal supervision for 4 full time staff at work, plus my own once a month.
I only just managed to get a second bootee done last night before falling asleep in the chair. LOL. Hopefully the weekend will be a quiet one, I. isn't working tomorrow so I hope he's feeling helpful. I have a bit of a list. LOL. Mostly stuff I can't reach or that needs two people, like re-tying the strings on the conifer pillars and trimming their tops and of course cleaning out the guttering. Wish me luck getting it all done.

Pouring with rain here this morning. There goes the gardening! Neighbour has their fire going again and our back yard is full of thick white smoke. So illegal here but I can't quite bring myself to ring the Council. It's awful when they do it on sunny days as it blows straight down on my clothes line! Grrrr! Then I get very close to making that phone call. We have Asian families both sides of us and no problems usually but they do think differently about considering neighbours. The other one parks their cars in front of our house right be the driveway, making it very difficult to turn in from a merging two lane main road just past a set of lights!

You, ok, makeralbany? Hopefully you are too busy and not too unwell.
And it's still drizzling here. Went to Bunnings yesterday, bought more plants for the garden. LOL. Hopefully it clears enough today to get them into the ground.
I have finished a dolls blanket and a pair of dolls bootees. I will have a wee stash of small things to take into shop on MOnday.

Left here at 4.30 Saturday morning for a Whanau Hui in Rotorua. I had breakfast with T who could not attend as she was presenting to150 people. She is the Director of a very large Non Profit Organisation. We then went through all her figures for our Meeting. I then met with E and went through the same paperwork and we left for the Meeting. It was heavy going at first even though I had the Minutes from the last one and the Agenda for the day. Two of the Owners had not been at the first one so we had to backtrack a looooot lol. Finished about 2. Had lunch then I took E home, had a cuppa and a discussion . Drove back to Auckland in the rain and got stuck in Traffic when I reached the Motorway. Arrived home about 8. Received two phone calls from my sisters. Dropped into bed at 11. Slept late and then W arrived with my granddaughter so she could pick her dog up for a couple of days. She's on holiday from her studies and she misses him. I must admit it's quiet here without him ha ha. I have been busy researching Whanau Whenua Trust information because Mum wanted one set up. A lot of work sigh. I have until Nov to write up Draft Trust Deeds. I'm going to have small Meetings with Whanau Members to get their views before the big Meeting otherwise we will be there forever ha ha. I'm over brain work tonight so I'm off to bed to read a good book.

My goodness that sounds like you are back at work full time. And all that driving as well. You must be exhausted. It seems like you have gained extreme amounts of responsibility with your Mum passing, no wonder you think it's a good idea to move back to Rotorua. How long have you got before the next big meeting? And are you having to travel for all the smaller meetings as well? Phew! I hope you enjoy being home for a break first before you get stuck in to all that.
It's still drizzling here for the third day in a row. I still managed to put the new plants in between showers, thank goodness. This includes a lovely show of giant pansys in planters along the fence.
I have started a wee pink matinee jacket with aran flowers around it as a border almost to the armholes. Not the easiest pattern I have done for a while, I have to say. Back and fronts are knitted in one piece, too, so 203 stitches to work these flowers on to. Will have to be another one to photograph to show you, I think. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2015-08-31 06:42:00

Yes it's going to be full on for at lest a year. Next Meeting Focus has been changed overnight so now it will be Mums Unveiling as I am already receiving emails wanting to know where and when. Mum was the eldest Kaumatua Kui for a number of Hapu as we come from 3 Iwi. A lot of people were unaware she had passed away so they did not attend her Tangi. The Unveiling will give them all an opportunity to show their respect. My throat is so sore from all the darn talking and meds. So frustrating but emails are your best friends at times like this ha ha. I've told people to email me instead of ringing. I rested in between answering the phone, texts and emails today. I even managed to work on my nieces blanket. It's a good size now. That wee jacket sounds lovely.

makerealbany - 2015-08-31 22:31:00
6877

Looks like it's going to be very full on! Good idea using technology to save your throat. You need to protect yourself at all costs from anything flaring up again healthwise.
I am so excited it's first day of Spring! Daft, I know, considering rain is going to be even heavier today but at least I know we've got through another winter and I can look forward to being warm.
I never even got to sit at my desk yesterday it was that busy and I had to work on our off site programme as well. Couldn't get the keys to work properly or the heaters at all. Not the best day at all. Our grocery shopping was done late as we were both late home so we were exhausted by the time we sat down last night and both asleep in our chairs within an hour. LOL. With 203 stitches on the needle I only got 4 rows done before falling asleep, this one might be a slow one.

grizzly4 - 2015-09-01 06:58:00
6878

And still raining here, looks worse up your way though. At least it should clear here today for awhile as we are to get a high of 17. Sheer bliss if it happens but only today it seems as the rest of the week is wet again. I keep telling myself it's good for the gardens. LOL. Had a couple of excellent meetings yesterday, even if it was a 10 hour day. Have set ourselves up to take student placements from next year with the local polytech and got the results of a funding analysis we had done. Good stuff! The women's group is making bunting this morning for Spring. A bit of an American idea but looks like fun. I am up to row 23 on the wee jacket. LOL. After how many evenings. The aran flower is repeated about 8 times around the jacket so the rows I'm doing now have 2 bobbles per flower so really slowing me down. I'm not much of a fan of bobbles I have to say. I find it frustrating when they disappear to the wrong side of the knitting once I'm up past that row. I wonder if there's something I can do differently to prevent that?

grizzly4 - 2015-09-02 06:46:00
6879

I get annoyed with bobbles too. I knitted some dolls things for M7 and the wool already had them in it. They did indeed keep going to the wrong side so I had to pull them through. It poured here yesterday. I got soaked taking K6 to school in the car. Umbrella no help lol. Fine today so sheets are on the line. I'm driving back home as I have things to do there. I'll be back later to take K to swimming. Nearly finished that blanket. Over blankets for awhile ha ha. Noticed Daisy's appearing on the lawn so yes Spring is here. Water meters show lots of water in the bank at the back of my cottage so special retainer wall to be built. They say it's unsafe in an earthquake. Talking another $120,0000 to fix. Honestly we are over it all. Never mind A is in a meeting with them now.

makerealbany - 2015-09-02 09:52:00
6880

My gosh, that's a lot of money for a retaining wall! Will the cottage be used once you move back to Rotorua?
What are you going to work on now if not another blanket? Just how many blankets had your Mum started and not finished? LOL.
My hand is really sore this morning, I think from holding needles with 203 stitches on them! LOL. But I was determined to get the jolly flowers finished last night. I am truly not happy with the circle of 12 bobbles per flower (9 flowers in total). They are perfect on the WRONG side! I think I might have to use a needle and thread to just close the back of them up a bit so they can't come back through. Even the darn pattern says to just push them through at the end. Fine and dandy if they'd just stay there! I was extremely pleased with the bunting to celebrate spring that the group made yesterday. I have mine hanging in our dining room, I like it so much. LOL. Some of the ladies struggled though, one put her letters upside down and 2 arranged their letters back to front so they need a mirror to read the word 'spring'. Oh dear, and several had to recut out their letters because they didn't think about the template being back to front. I thought it was one of the easiest activities I had organised this year, but how wrong could I get! LOL.

Boy, we've left some long messages this week! LOL. I ended up staying home yesterday, I felt like I'd hit a brick wall by the time I'd done my usual chores before going to work. I had nothing in my diary and no immediate deadlines so home I stayed. The sun even came out for part of the day but I stayed in my chair knitting. I have finished the back and fronts of the jacket and stitched behind each bobble. That was a bit of a mission but I'm much happier about them now. Even managed to start one of the sleeves before going to bed. Someone has started a thread about handmade Xmas gift ideas so I mentioned the towel sets and matching artwork I did last year. Has definitely reminded me to start thinking about this year. I have S's new partner and his 4 year old daughter to include, too. It's a bit harder when you don't them very well, LOL, although I think P4 is really into 'Frozen' stuff. Imaging getting the chance to shop for girly things after 3 grandsons! LOL.

I posted a message on Thursday. Don't know where that went. Gremlins.ugh
Good on you for having a day at home. All the extra hours you put in need a bit of acknowledgment. That's the problem nowadays people have to work extra unpaid hours to achieve the work expected. My daughter is starting to feel that way.mmmm . I haven't done much today. Throat still raw but I've stopped using the inhalers to try and heal my throat and tongue. I'm not coughing much now so I don't need them. I think I've developed an allergy to the steroids. I can't taste anything so just sipping fruit and Veges smoothies I've been making in my Ninja. I'm putting vitamins and oils in as well. Home made joghurt is also part of my diet. I have list weight with all these shenanikins. I notice it with my once fitting jeans now loose. Don't want to lose any more. Looking haggard. Christmas omg. I guess I'll have to think about it too.

As you can see, I had a bit of a lie in this morning, lol. No-one here for meals today as B10 is in the Canterbury Under 10 team playing on the West Coast. Would have loved to go too but have spent too much on car repairs to afford a weekend away just yet. I. went off to have blood tests done but found the place is closed on Saturdays and went to pay one of the mechanics bills to find he's forgotten his pin number. He has not a great start to the day LOL and I get to pay it online like I was going to in the first place. It's lovely and sunny at present so will get a few things done outside today, yippee.

Full on day yesterday. Soccer finals and prize giving for M7 and J4. Then we went on a " Secret Mission " for those two and "Kidnapped K6 for the afternoon. They had a great time ha ha. Planning and excecuting their "Dastardly Deed" . A was exhausted after coming home at 12.30 on Friday Night. They had a Fundraiser at the school. A's table was dressed as an Underwater World. She was Nemo. They had incredible face paint . Unfortunately it took her ages to get it off in the shower ha ha. One of the Mums went as a red Lobster and she still had paint on at soccer. We told her to use baby oil as she had used a very expensive makeup remover which left paint on. Needless to say most of the Mums wore sunglasses ha ha. An annual event which they all enjoy.

What a fun couple of days! I enjoyed being out in the sun yesterday. WE tidied the front garden and rushed to get the lawns down before the weather changed. Never arrived LOL. I have some more giant pansies to put in this morning and I want to try out our new floor steam cleaner. B10's team had to play in foul weather in Greymouth yesterday and are playing again today.

B10 got Player of the day yesterday so very pleased with himself. He was pretty grumpy by the time he got home though, he was that tired. LOL. Floors are nice and clean thanks to our new toy and going to try it on the carpets in the next few weeks. The wind is howling a bit this morning and bitterly cold but hopefully we get some sunshine as well. Brrrr! Wee jacket is finished on time to take to the shop, thank goodness. Ohh that's pretty. Sometimes the colours are way off sigh. What steam cleaner did you get. I need a new one. We all got the red one advertised on TV a few years ago but it kept clogging up and I'm sick of taking it apart all the time. I have to be up at My daughters before she leaves for work at 5'45 so I'm off to bed now. Another long day. Could not drive up tonight after my flat out day.

That's an early start for you! We bought a Bissell Carpet Cleaner, it does hard floors as well. I shouldn't call it a steam cleaner I guess 'cos it's like the Rug Doctor machine you can hire. It washes more than steams. I did have a steam cleaner a few years ago, a lime green one and I loved it but the wee hoses inside kept melting with the heat of the steam.
I'm off through the tunnel to Lyttelton this morning for a meeting. Haven't been through there for a while now and feeling a bit nervous. We had a wee shake yesterday, only 2.7 but boy it made our office drop and shake. Sigh. I was woken by one the night before, too, the bed really thumped and all the cupboard doors shook but nothing has come up on the records.

A bit of an odd day yesterday. Meeting in the morning then spent afternoon going through old, old records at work. Found one photograph of our first ever holiday programme that we partnered up with another organisation to do. I was actually a volunteer for the other organisation as well at the time hence my son was in the photo, too. At the ripe old age of 4!!!!! LOL.
I spent the evening knitting (of course) dolls clothes. I'm working on another outfit of a black top and pants with a high viz work vest. All the rage down here for last 5 years! LOL. I thought I might do some wee teddies with high viz vests as well. LOL.

Might try that Bissell. Late nights for rest if week and early starts. M7s play as well as other things sigh. Finally got latest figures for repair to the property $400. Excess for insurance is now $5000 and they are only paying $140,000 out mmmmm EQC $180,000 and the Water Company are still deciding ugh. We are spending any free time getting my sons house ready for sale. Ex partner has us in court all the time trying to take the lot. So it's hectic here. Did a bit of crocheting last night to unwind before bed. Have a great day.

OMG that's a lot of money to fix something you had nothing to do with!!! Dreadful affair and how stressful for you all.
The Women's Group took the hour long tour on the tram through the centre of Christchurch yesterday. It was a great trip but at $20 per person a bit steep for run of the mill residents to do it which is why it was one of our planned trips this term. Timely really as we are at the 5 year anniversary of the first earthquake in September 2010. As much as we can see a lot of work being done and some new buildings are up there is still so much empty land and still so many wrecked buildings that haven't even been touched yet. The tram took us down some streets that were my favourites pre-quake and haven't been down since, so there were a lot of firsts in 5 years moments for me. Like you it's a bit hectic here at present, with shop meetings and financial reports to do plus the end of month payout for August has been delayed a bit because of the availability of signatories. Oh, that's right and that's not even my real job. LOL. Staff at work are volunteering on Saturday to run a Sausage Sizzle at the Mad Butcher as a fundraiser so I hope the weather stays clear.

Brrr it's cold this morning! 17 degrees yesterday then full on hail, thunder and lightening and huge winds. It changed so fast. I had a meeting after work so luckily it had pretty much cleared by the time I had to drive home in the dark. My wee Cube doesn't like strong winds much! LOL.
B10 has had 8 boils over the past 12 months. Yesterday the latest one has ended him up in hospital as it very close to his eye. They are having to drain it under general anaesthetic this morning as no theatre was available yesterday. His eye is almost closed and it has affected the nerves in his face. Scary stuff really, poor kid. I'm on to the hig viz vest part of the dolls outfit.

Omg poor young B10. Boils are dreadfully painful. Wonder why he's getting so many. Bless him. It's awful when children are sick. It would be scary for him especially affecting the nerves.
Five years!!!!! Where has it gone? It was cold here this morning and we had the same. Winds and Hail storms . I minded J4 this morning. He was so tired after M7's show last night. She was Colonel Hatht in the Jungke Book. They did two nights. I went last night. She was brilliant. We were so proud. She is the perfect Colonel ha ha. Makeup and costumes were really fabulous. Thank goodness we won't have to listen to The Bare Necessities and That's What Friends are For anymore ha ha.
I'm sleeping in until at lest 7 tomorrow. Ha ha.

I slept till 9 after getting up at 7 to take painkillers for a headache! Our shift on the BBQ isn't till 1.30 so I hope I can shift it by then. Ridiculous getting a headache while you're asleep. B10 is home this morning, they kept him in overnight after surgery for intravenous antibiotics. Hopefully it clears fast now. A year ago to the day he broke his collar bone!

I slept in too ha ha. The girls went off to clean and I stayed with M7and J 4. Did the washing and tried to make more room in my cottage lol. Washed all my son's linen that was in his linen closet because I don't trust the hygiene of all those boarders . We threw linen away. I swear we have enough cleaning rags now lol. There were makeup stains, hair dye stains all over a lot of his towels . Sheets had holes in them. One boarder left 8 bowls with bits of food in them in her room. Threw those out as well. We are getting a bin and tossing the beds. Heavens knows what those mattresses have seen. The mind boggles really.

That's right he did break his collarbone. Glad he's home now.

Eeeeeewwwww!!!!!! Sometimes your stories are so visual!!!!! LOL.
My headache never shifted till I went to bed last night so I didn't enjoy yesterday as much as I could have. However today is another day... I. is going out this morning with daughter S and her new partner B. He races an off road car so I. will be in his element. LOL. My plan is to catch up on bookwork for the shop, hem a new pair of pants as I have to look flash on 2 occasions this week, find black buttons for the dolls set I have finished and finish some high viz vests for a couple of toys as well. When I. brings the camera home I will photograph them for you. LOL.

Aw that's really cute. I cleaned cupboards at home this morning. We went over to my sons place for awhile, then bought new curtains for his house, picked the kids up, took them to Karate, came home and ate. I have just answered my emails and am heading to bed. Up at 4.00 so early run again.

My gosh yesterday was manic! So much bookwork to do at the shop yesterday plus the window displays. I was lucky there were no customers to get it all done, although that's not good for the shop. There are 4 of us at work undertaking the Gallup Strengths Finder coaching and yesterday was our individual coaching sessions. They wee supposed to be an hour and a quarter each but mine took 2 and a quarter!!! Typical!! Really worthwhile and I got heaps out of it to improve the way I work and communicate. In 2 weeks we have a group coaching session for a couple of hours so we understand each others strengths and increase our effectiveness as a team. In the mean time, of course, that blew my schedule for yesterday afternoon completely and I was running to catch up the rest of the day. Still a lot of yesterdays normal stuff sitting on my desk waiting for me this morning. I also have to find some stencils for the women's fabric painting activity tomorrow afternoon. I have found a white place mat to work on. Thought it might be a nice centre piece for the Christmas table to put condiments on, or a warm serving dish etc. We shall see how it turns out, perhaps, LOL.
