This thread reads more like a personal medical journal, the other actual posters have dropped out, they were not wanting to do what was expected of them any more.
They show themselves up in a very poor light, in the threads I start. Always the same two people showing up. I actually know one of their old workers from a while back. She dropped off after she worked out where we had met up, I did give her an unquestionable hint.. lol.

DON'T TRY AND GUESS WHO IT WAS, I won't say , we go back years her and I.

I do hope it's alright if I join the Circle of Friends. I kind of thought it was a closed circle but cookes indicated I could join in. Thank you cookes.

I don't know that I will have anything to offer - and I can't imagine trying to catch up with all these pages - but I will read the last two or three and get a handle on what subjects are discussed.

I feel quite excited - a whole new world of potential friends is a nice place to be!!

Welcome esther-anne :)
There are many of us in this circle ... and new friends are always welcome.
The one thing that isn't welcome is antagonisers ... many of us have very different thoughts about health and nutrition, but we leave our differences at the door - so to speak.
Many of us have also found opportunities to form friendships in the 'real world' so don't pop in here for updates quite as much any more ... there are other forums where we communicate without unwelcome intrusions.

Now that I'm here ... my news is - no major news. Just busy busy busy!
1000's of visitors coming through Nelson at the moment so I'm often working 10+ hours a day.
The price I pay for living in one of the most beautiful regions on the planet lol :)
Hope you're not tired of sharing it yet Ellie ...
I'm off down to Chch in a week for a break. Some distance will help me appreciate our slice of paradise all the more when I'm back.
Plus another old friend from here has a brand new home I hope to see :)

Waves to all the friendly faces here ... xxx

Hi winnie! Isn't this weather glorious? I'm sweltering...though the water's not too far away. I meet lots of your visiting travellers in the bush...it's lucky for them that your face is one of the first they see as they plan their excursions.
Have a good break in Christchurch...you've come a long way in this thread since those early frightening earthquake days.

What has happened to this 'circle' since 20 Feb?? I am taking the liberty of rekindling it as I want to share something with you all - I am absolutely amazed and excited to have won tickets in the ballot for Gallipoli 2015. So I am wondering if any of you have ever been there either to a service or as a tourist? I would love to know if any of you know of anyone else who will be going. Any info gratefully recieved thank you.

How cool, Suzanna.
I only found out last week that my Grandfather was wounded at Gallipoli. A bit late for the ballot, but ANZAC Day will have a deeper significance for me this year.

Hi Pam.. everyone.. :-)

I hope you're all well.. sounds like you're very fit Pam.. does your daily kilometre total add up to be the 100 km's for the month, or are you participating in a 100km race? I think Sport BOP have a May walk theme, with daily totals adding up, and prizes at the end.. maybe that happens there too..

How are you all in Canterbury.. think of you all down there.. hope your home's are being repaired or replaced.. and life is greatly improved after all that has happened..

A busy time here over the past few months, didn't get much in the way of preserving done, though bottled the Golden Queen and Black Boy peaches from my tree's, and made Damson Jam, the fruit sourced once more through a trader in Cambridge.. we love their flavour, and the jam is tart and gorgeous.. yum!

Have had my kids home, all of us together.. very special, and lots of shared meals with family and friends joining us too, including for my Hot Cross Bun Afternoon Tea, on Easter Sunday.. it's become a tradition in our family.. lovely to have all of us and friends together for the afternoon.. delicious coffee and fragrant tea.. buns fresh from my oven.. a double recipe making 40 buns, all enjoyed in an afternoon :-)

Take good care everyone.. x

Good Morning all,
Have not been in here for awhile, have to say its good to be back.
I have started a new job, still caregiving, but out in the community.
It is much better then the Hospital/resthome,not so hard on your body or brain, it can be very stressful, so was time to leave.
We were going to go to the gold coast in July but have put it off for another year.

great to hear from you EA and congrats on the new job, I had an interview Thursday - not fulltime work but right now it would be perfect for me, I need the money and im bored - a good sign im getting better again

peaches...yum I got a pile of green tomatoes from my son this year and found the old recipe my mum used to make so I made green tomato pickle. I remember as a kid we used to head out to te puke and pick peaches always a bucket full and one to munch on, fruit tasted amazing back in those days

Hope all goes well with your job interview, I don't have much work on, but I know it will get better.
We live right by the sea, only 2 mins away, we are so blessed.

Hi everyone and happy Saturday.

EA - how is your home? I hope repairs have been done by now.
I have been thinking of you & the other hard hit Coasters.

All good here in Nelson :)
Tourist numbers have dwindled to only 300+- per day so lots of time for catching up on admin at work.
Boring jobs but it needs to be done.

Hello everyone. I'd like to thank all who have helped me from the recipe section lately when I have asked for cooking tips and recipes. I have quite a few new recipes for my TMMB Cook Book now. I've gone a bit baking mad after trying to stop smoking. It keeps me from being bored and the neighbours and work mates are celebrating the benefits as I give a lot of it away.
TY again.

Morning all, hope you are all happy and well.
Winnie our home was hit hard, we are still waiting for the second builder to arrive, because the damage is over 10,000 we have to have 2 quotes.
We have just had our windows replaced in our bedroom and lounge, so is warmer in there now.
So its a waiting game now, they said when the second builder gives them a quote we will still have to wait for at least another couple of weeks.
Good luck with your non smoking Kiwisportsgirl,it is very hard to do,you can do it.

Go you Cookes! I am just being totally curious as to how everyone is? I have just been up to the Mount to visit family and must say I loved the warmth as the day I left Chch I scraped the ice off the inside window of DHs truck to move it! Whilst driving up the islands I was once again reminded of what an amazing country we live in with the various vistas and hues. When I drove into Wellington on Thursday it was still blowing after the storm but the crossing was magically calm. Off the do the grocery shop which isn't high on the list of explosively wondrous experiences for me. I am looking forward to once again planning a vegetable garden after the winter blasts subside which will be the first post quake for us. Amazing how much I have missed going down the back to pick dinner each night. Trust everyone is in great heart and hunkering down for the lesser temps. Elliehen I imagine that you still read these pages so 'hello' and I hope that the last Nelson deluge didn't create any difficulties for you.

Hi Everyone.. hope you're all well.. Springtime coming next week.. many of my trees are in blossom already.. seems early this year. I ordered a Garden prince Almond tree this year, collected it last week so in time to come will have my own almonds to harvest.. yum!

Popping in to say hello and share some news..

My son Chris, and Sarah, his Partner, now fiancée.. became engaged in May.. they live in Melbourne.. after taking her away for a special weekend together, Chris managed to get her to Federation Square in time.. because on an electronic billboard on top of a building opposite there, he'd arranged for photo's of the two of them to scroll across, then.. ' Sarah'.. then.. 'will you marry me?'.. . :-) clapping from people around them who realised what was happening.. An exciting and special time for them both..

As the photo's and words kept scrolling, they were able to take photo's.. including one of them both with 'will you marry me?' showing on the billboard in the background.. and there are big smiles on their faces.. wedding plans for next year.. a very special time for them, and for Sarah's and our families..

Take good care.. :-)
