Great game well done the Highlanders
be good to see Dunedin get some limelight

You are a wondrus Beast Muzza. Dunedin will be ablaze tonight with your Praise. The Otago Daily Times will hold their front page on Monday for "Muzza loves us - He gives us Praise" and at the foot of the page will be a Highlanders win the Super 15 Rugby" sub heading.

Seriously thou, It was a great game to watch and the best team won on the night because of the greater passion they brought to the game.

Here we are again the old swearword - MNH - the correct acronym for Mint Never Hinged.

UHM or MUH refers to a mint stamp that was unhinged (either from an album where it was affixed or plainly with the hinge removed - unhinged !)

Mostly in the Southern Hemisphere some collectors use the wrong acronym for mint never hinged. Others use either NH neverhinged for mint never hinged or as it is used more widely - MNH.

So if you buy MUH stamps you may just be lucky to get MNH quality.

Hi all, I am looking for a copy of: Stamps on Music Adam Miller 2007 The World-wide Catalogue & Handbook of Stamps issued under Copyright Acts. Is there anyone in NZ who sells/has one for sale here has 1 that can be hired??
Many thanks in advance.

I'll be there for sure. Its a great venue (Nice and warm) with free admission, comfortable chairs and lots of friendly dealers to help fill in your stamp gaps or help you start a new topic. You won't be asked to pay Auckland prices at this fair!

I have a spare copy around somewhere. What's your interest in these stamps?

Great to hear!
I have been collecting these stamps for years and now have a good hoard. I think if I can get a copy I will be able to notify the writer/community of unlisted examples. Secondly This book will help me to establish which stamps were only used in NZ. Do you collect music royalty stamps also? Would you be interested in selling your spare copy?
Regards
Ben

I wrote the book! I kept a couple back as working copies for a future updated edition, but turned out I only needed one spare. I'll put it up on Tme shortly.

Ant idea on current value of a series of NZ Year stamp sets ,in issued box, with album and sealed complete set of stamps (all unopened ) from 1984 through till 2008. Thanks

Hi Alan I could only find 1 expired listing which had sold, and 3 pages of old listings with zero bids ! My guess is 50% of the Face Value of the stamps - I have bought mint stamps for using as ordinary postage at around 60% of FV but those did not have any low value stamps - all 90c or more. Good luck - and I must get some silver coins from you sometime. Peter

Some generous person paid $10.30 into my account but the payee or the Bank forgot to add the persons name.

So should YOU read this message and paid for some item on TM please advise, so that I can send you the correct lot bought.

At the Annual 2015 NZ Interclub One frame Stamp Exhibition held in Christchurch today, the winning club was announced at 2pm. This years winning Club was the Waikato Philatelic Society with a great lot of 5 entries. Well done Waikato. This means next years exhibition will be held in Hamilton.

The show attracted a lot of people and the Pluto Cal was very popular.

Let's hope the fair is as popular as the special one last weekend. I'm sure it will be as I already know several people who will be coming along including some new attenders. 67 Mandeville St is becoming a real venue of choice for philatelists.

Hi. I have just unearthed my late father's large collection of stamps from all over the world. Some are torn off envelopes, some are mint and there are many first day covers too. Some of the stamps are in a sheet and there is also three boards with unopened cellophane packets on them that they used to sell over the counter. I have no clue how to start valuing them or who I would go to for an honest appraisal. It's not a hobby I want to continue with so I'm keen to move them on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone. My mums husband recently passed away, he was a stamp collector/dealer and has literally tonnes of stamps in boxes and albums. My mum is totally daunted at the thought of having to sort through everything and really just wants them gone. I would appreciate suggestions on the best way to get the best value for her. Thought about putting up an auction for the whole lot $1 reserve, would be pot luck for the purchaser but would be the quickest way to get rid of them. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Selmaz,

If your friend literally has tonnes of stamps then I'd suggest she needs to contact a professional and the closest appropriate one is John Kilpatrick in New Plymouth who could take a look and give your friend the appropriate advice on disposing of the hoard. He trades as Kadine stamps and I'm sure he would give appropriate advice.
