That's a pain having to go and work on a Sunday. Remember the willing horse gets all the work. I took K home today and the darn side mirror fell off three times. I was stressed by the time I got there. T gave me her car to drive back tonight. I'll go up in the morning but my Sil can come back to the house and stay tomorrow night. T has her review on Tuesday then she is working Thurs and Friday so another busy week for me, I have to ring the mechanic again tomorrow. Think he's forgotten about my car. Only did an hours knitting tonight sigh. Lol. Never mind I'm off to bed. makerealbany - 2014-09-21 23:42:00
And it's Monday again so soon! And the last week of another term! And it's so cold here today, only 8 degrees with strong southerlies and rain. It's going to be very cold in shop this morning. Brrrrr. After all my hard work only 2 items of dolls clothes to go to shop this morning. The wee coat is very effective but lots of work. This one is in navy but I've put bought some pink to do another eventually. For now I've started a crossover cardy in pale pink with a lime and candy pink border. I had the whole back done in one evening. Much faster LOL. grizzly4 - 2014-09-22 06:29:00
Yes fast is best lol. I finished the Cowl Snood for myself and am now knitting another one for my grand daughter J. She is up from Queenstown on the 9th and we can't wait to see her. My car is at the mechanics overnight. Kids still in a motel sigh. I'm up here for the night so Sil has to go home to feed our cats. Very cold here too. makerealbany - 2014-09-22 22:35:00
Brrrr, a bit nippy this morning! But a good day ahead apparently. I have an order for 2 dolls blankets to crochet now as well finishing the set I'm doing. Half way up the 2nd front though. Ginger cat, Jinx, isn't eating this morning so I'm waiting with baited breath to see what I will need to clean up before going to work. Her coat is shocking with matted bits all through it. I've cut them out a few times and those patches are good now but they are all over her back and sides now. It's too cold to clip her properly. And it's not like she has a long coat either, just a fluffy undercoat. Sigh. Unless she's cuddled up with I. or sitting on his pillow at night she doesn't look happy. grizzly4 - 2014-09-23 06:34:00
Oh poor Jinx. My daughters cat is missing her family. Jed my cat is fed up with the neighbours cats coming up on our decks. Just wait until the dogs get home the visiting cats will not be around then lol. When you have 12 or more cats no wonder they roam the neighbourhood. Who needs that many cats? Honestly. Got my car side window fixed today . S charged me $50. I was so grateful. He's a lovely young man. He's a friend of my grandson. Want to finish the snood tonight and J wants a light shawl. K the lady I crocheted the blanket and tea cosy for sent a pressie home with my daughter. A beautiful scented candle. I am very pleased. Can never have enough candles with all our power cuts. Oh yes Paws our cat that died used to get lots of matted fur. The trick is to go right down as close as possible to the skin and gently pull the matted bits out. It works better than cutting. It takes a bit to get the knack of doing it right. Doesn't hurt Puss. makerealbany - 2014-09-23 20:43:00
I have tried pulling the matted bits instead of cutting but I was putting my own life at stake by continuing that! LOL. This is the cat that has always hated being brushed! She was waiting at the door for me last night as usual letting me know big time that it was about time I was home, did I not know she was hungry?! Even though I was an hour earlier! Imagine 12 doing that. 3 is more than enough for me. My knitting is on a roll with the second front and a sleeve done last night. grizzly4 - 2014-09-24 07:04:00
I started another snood for my other granddaughter. They love them because scarves come " Undone Nana and it's darn annoying" lol. Quick to knot and light. Jed does get hairy at times but he tolerates it if he has any matted fur. Two visiting cats already tonight. Puss won't come in here. She just sits by her front door and cries for the kids. They will be home on Friday. Silly me agreed to sponser M6 for her class competition Spelling Quiz. Fifty cents a word. She got them all right and won the Comp so $15 later ha ha. Next time I'll say Twenty Cents. That girl is too clever. I asked my son if he wanted me to go help clean up because his son is coming for a week. He said yes please. Well I went down , cleaning gear in a bucket, already to battle grime. Nearly fell over. It was the cleanest I have ever seen his home. Didn't need to do much. I cleaned the ranch slider windows and mopped the floors. Opened the cupboards to look for glass cleaner and omg everything is immaculate. Every cupboard is so organized. He's a cleaning freak of nature lol. He's even weeded his gardens. Told me he would never work anymore than 3 days a week. He spent 12 years working like a dog and burnt himself out. We are all excited because this weekend may be the start of fortnightly weekend stays for his daughter E. It's J4s birthday party on Sunday and we want her to be there. Fingers crossed. makerealbany - 2014-09-24 22:22:00
It's so hard getting the childcare stuff organised after a break up isn't it? B6 is one week with each parent but the change over is 10am on Sundays so they both have a day each of the weekend. Seems to be working ok at present. I am so tired this week, can't wait till the weekend. And I'm coughing again , I mean it never goes away but I can manage it but I don't know whether it's pollen or just the time of the year but I seem to really struggle from Spring till Christmas. Saps your energy let alone going to work. Cardy all finished ready to sew up and started bootees to go with it. Started one of the dolls blankets yesterday morning for the order. grizzly4 - 2014-09-25 06:40:00
Coughing has settled and I just have the ends to sew in on one of the dolls blankets. The next one is smaller thank goodness and I still have bootees to finish and a beanie to make. The weather over the weekend doesn't look up to much so probably won't be in the garden a lot. Finally found out the problem with the drains at work has been due to the ultrafast broadband cable that was laid under the footpath 2 weeks ago has gone straight through the sewer pipe!!!!! Enable is definitely being sent those invoices for the work so far! And they've been told has to be fixed before Monday as 30 kids on site for 9 hours each day for next 2 weeks. grizzly4 - 2014-09-26 06:44:00
Oh my stars the idiots. That cough of yours has hung around for years. Darn thing. Maybe you are allergic to something or someone. I cough with certain cleaning stuff. Air refreshers get me too. Just got home. Still organizing the who and where. We do know when so that's good. I have to cook j4S Birthday cake. Dairy Free Chocolate Cake. Thank heavens my daughter loves to ice them. I'm going to have a cuppa and then cook that cake and cupcakes. I thought I had posted yesterday. Old age lol. I am on my third and final snood. Easy to knit. Just a rectangle kind of like your blankets.kids back home tonight, dogs back home so watch out stray cats mmmmm. Most likely get a call tomorrow to say our dogs are chasing her cats. Well if they don't keep them in and they come onto our verandahs what are we expected to do.? Better get cooking lol. makerealbany - 2014-09-26 20:07:00
I have to remember to hit the 'Post message' button after finishing typing. LOL. Missed it a few times and wondered where my message was next day. grizzly4 - 2014-09-27 09:32:00
Bought the timber at last for the deck of I.'s project - our new trailer. Place with best price is only open on Saturday morning and he is usually working. Got the last of the timber for work as well. Came home to play Empire Monopoly and Yahtzee with B9 and L7 and make chocolate self saucing pudding for pudding! It was a good day. I. even our son S. even got the wiring done on the trailer and helped the new Chinese family next door get the compactor for their new drive going and fixed their lawn mower after they put oil in the petrol tank and vice versa. grizzly4 - 2014-09-28 10:51:00
Oh the poor things. Lucky he was there to help. J4 had a great party today . I had E2, K5 and J 12 to get ready and drive to the party at Chipmunks. We were the first ones there. Even beat the party boy lol. J is still very shy. He held onto his cousin K's hand most if the time. All those hospital visits and things he has been through has had a huge impact on that little boy. He invited 10 friends from Preschool and now has invites and play dates so that's good. It will be very hard at school if we don't get through his shyness. I'm worn out, after two days with all three children lol. Little E goes home tomorrow. She has been fine. Happily playing and no problems. My son comes up to put her to bed and read her stories , etc . He is still suffering from Depression so it is very hard on us all. J his eldest boy is up for a week as well. We are up at the beach as my daughter has a big home and even though she was working We managed to keep everyone happy. K's little dog loves all the activity especially as the kids love playing with him. I'm now off to bed as the morning will be hectic again lol. makerealbany - 2014-09-29 00:32:00
Phew, sounds very full on and look at the time you posted your message, too. I'll bet you're sound asleep as I type this, LOL. Not so many people around for us yesterday although next door called on I. a couple of times with continuing mechanical problems - one was caused by running it out of petrol. Just as it was getting dark I spotted someone in our front window, gave me a hell of a fright. They had seen I. on the computer and couldn't get to the front door as we had shut the big gates, just wanted to let us know they would be continuing to use the machine for another half hour and to apologise for the noise. Nice thought but it took me a while to recover from that. I. also had another 'mate' arrive for help with his motorbike and then we had the couple who own this house came over for a cup of tea. It was nice to see them, they live diagonally across the back fence, but they give us lots of space. I finished the wee cardy set and the 2 dolls blankets so quite pleased with the weekend over all. Not so much time in the garden as I would like. We'll see how these lighter evenings go. grizzly4 - 2014-09-29 06:25:00
Yes I was asleep lol. My daughter shut my door so I wouldn't wake up until 7. A and T took little E to meet her mother for the pick up and I stayed at home to wash al the linen. It was fine in the afternoon so managed to dry a lot of it. Then A rang and said T was feeling funny. An ambulance trip to the hospital for her. She had heart problems due to the medication she was taking. Remember. Anyway she is having problems again so I came home with K5 and J . It is all so darn stressful. Sil leaves again tomorrow morning so busy, busy. Anyway his mother is arriving for a weekend with two children she minds next weekend. Honestly she just relays the message. J is not being moved out of his room because he is just getting used to sleeping in his own bed again and it's darn inconsiderate of her to bring other children with her.. She just expects to stay and couldn't care a less about the impact on anyone else. It would be nice for her just to come and spend time with her own grandchildren. It's easy to find one extra bed but three is too hard. M can't share Js room because it's too small. Two king size singles are available in Ms room but the spare bedroom is full of stuff as well as a piano and office desk, etc. I would just tell her I'm sorry but we can't accommodate you all. I'm really reluctant to let them stay in my cottage because last time I did I regretted it. I'm going to knit for 30 mins then go to bed. Daylight saving is not okay when you are trying to get the little ones into bed. Sigh. makerealbany - 2014-09-29 22:29:00
I agree it's too hard on you all for someone to turn up with extra children. I hope your cottage stays safe. Has T. had to stay in hospital or do they just alter her meds to fix the problem (till the next time)? Busy down here, too, with early starts because of the holiday programme although I'm not having to pick up staff each day anymore. B6 is dropped off for me to take and bring home though. I can get a few bits and pieces done before he arrives but it's hard when he's tired at the end of the day for me to catch up. His Mum plays catch up with her work when I do this especially this time of year with change overs happening in her student properties. I have started a wee baby jersey in white but I'm putting variegated browns in a fairisle pattern on it that includes an eagle on the front. Bit different from the usual ones I do. Might have to photograph this one once it's finished. grizzly4 - 2014-09-30 06:24:00
That jersey sounds lovely. Yes he signed herself out. Naughty girl. Had X-ray's today and will have an MRI scan as soon as she can get it. Thank heavens she has medical insurance. A has all 4 children in the house tonight . I will have 3 all day tomorrow. My son will pick up J in the morning. He wanted to stay for a night with A. They had fun playing outside today as it was a lovely sunny day. I cooked their special pizzas for lunch . They like a really thick bottom on them. J has feta cheese on his and K loves it too. I made two large ones and A and I only had one piece lol. I'm knitting another snood. Daughter wanted one when she saw them. I rarely knit one of anything. That's what having a big family does for you ha ha. I'm off to bed. These early starts are draining ha ha. makerealbany - 2014-09-30 23:39:00
You seem to be the last message on the crafts and hobbies message board for the night! LOL. Not getting to bed early enough, me thinks. Lincraft finally sorted out my loyalty point hiccups and sent me a $50 voucher. Took all of 10minutes to spend it on more wool! grizzly4 - 2014-10-01 06:48:00
Oh that was nice. More wool ho ho. Yes I get to bed late and get up early. Another busy day with 3 of them tomorrow. Lovely weather so they are happily playing outdoors. They are eating well and sleeping well. It's all the outdoor activities lol. They Have a list to do things for tomorrow but we all want to go to the library. We will see how we go. M6 has things to plant in her garden, k5 wants to find Huhu bugs for Inexia and J wants to find worms. I have to empty some out of the worm farm so he will be happy to put them in Mums garden. I have pots to weed and gardens. It's rather noisy at times here ha ha. I have to mend two toys now and some more of this snood. makerealbany - 2014-10-01 22:45:00
The eagle is completed on the front of the wee jersey. Very pleased with the effect. Back and front done and started on first sleeve last night. grizzly4 - 2014-10-02 06:30:00
I do t know where the day goes. Mmmmm spent two hours talking to Mum tonight after a busy day with my grandchildren. We were talking about my childhood. Very comical lol. Managed to finish the snood . Not sure what to do next. So many choices. Daughter has more tests tomorrow so early start for me. If I go to bed now I'll get 5 hours sleep. makerealbany - 2014-10-03 00:03:00
Both sleeves are done! Would really like to stay home today, not feeling great. That would put S. in a bit of spin about getting B6 to the holiday programme and she wanted him here for tea because of something she wanted to do. Weather's a bit dodgy too so will need to make changes regarding the programme trip today as well and there's loads of other stuff to get on with so I will just have to get through the day. grizzly4 - 2014-10-03 07:01:00
Hope you are feeling better now. I have been running again. Rush here and there. Sometimes I'm afraid to stop. Lol I might freeze up all together. My naughty sister has been stirring the pot again grrrr. A has been working frantically all week to get a programme she has written finished. She needs it printed so she can teach next week. Told her MIL she just could not accommodate the extra children this weekend. She did not take it too well at all. A's BIL rang her to see what the hell his mother had been moaning about to him. A explained it and he told her she should stick up for herself more often. He rang his mother and told her to stop being so darn selfish and to consider A's life with his brother. Also told her to start being a grandma to her own grandchildren. Told her it was unfair to bring other children here every holiday. A was glad to get his and his brothers support. They get so mad with their Mum. In fact their wives disappear if she goes to visit. No wonder. I have been cleaning up tonight so no knitting or crocheting. Have to be up at 5 so bed for me. makerealbany - 2014-10-04 23:42:00
Good on A. Must be a relief the visit's not happening. It was full on yesterday. B6 was sick so stayed home with his Mum but had the rest from lunchtime. Gabe B9 and L7 pocket money to weed the vege patch. Not perfect but much better than it was and it kept them happy. Watched old family movies till 11 last night. Some great memories. Next time they are here we are getting the slides out. LOL. grizzly4 - 2014-10-05 09:49:00
Mmmm....... no email service since yesterday morning. Though it was our computer but finally rang Telecom, I mean Spark, and all we could get was a message about damage from the fire up your way. Did you lose power at all? grizzly4 - 2014-10-06 06:31:00
No believe it or not lol. Lots of others did lose power. The wind is dreadful. I cooked J4 another Birthday cake for today. He had a great day with his A , Aunty T, his sister M and cousin K. I went over in. The morning for 30 mins than later for tea. It took me 6 hours to spring lean my bedroom. I kid you not. My walk in wardrobe was a shambles. Clothes hanging in all the wrong places. Shoes all over the place. Cleaned out all my drawers again lol. Sorted out the wool shelves and the book shelves. The problem with dashing to and fro is that you are always grabbing things to shove in your bag lol. Pleased I had the time to get it down. Need to clean the car tomorrow. K5 said to me yesterday in the car" Nana your car is a bit untidy. You are too busy minding kids to keep it clean." He was very serious about it. Ha ha. I started a wrap for my grand daughter. It is a very pretty wine colour. Has sequins through it in size 15 needles. It will grow quickly on these needles. makerealbany - 2014-10-07 00:15:00
Went to see the Box Trolls with my daughter and grandchildren. A had to take J4 out after 15 mins . Too scary. M was nearly pushing me off my chair at one stage. Not a good choice. Came home and sat on my bed for 5 mins. Woke up 4 hours later lol. Had too wind up another hank to knit tonight. Silky and easy to snag mmmmm. My cat spied the hank hanging over the chair. Had to put him out of the room until I had finished because he kept trying to grab it. Still a kitten at heart ha ha. Did get to clean my car. makerealbany - 2014-10-08 00:49:00
Shame about the movie. Our programme went to Planes 2. I think they enjoyed it. So tired and like you so busy. I'm knitting finger puppets this week and blast it, forgot to photograph the wee eagle jersey to show you. grizzly4 - 2014-10-08 07:03:00
I've done 3 puppets but a bit over it now. LOL. I have to watch what I'm doing all the time so knitting wee sox now for a break. I need to stock up on smaller items anyway as we have a 2 day stall at one of the malls before Labour Weekend and our Craft Fair at the beginning of November. S. has leased a house just round the corner from us from beginning of November. Nice wee place for her and B6 and much closer to his school and her work than where she is now. grizzly4 - 2014-10-09 06:42:00
I went down to see Mum in Rotorua yesterday. Called into Hamilton and visited my eldest grandson who was delighted to get a visit. Had a lovely time with him. We were washing his dishes after lunch and it took me back years. Lol. When I got to Mums it was all go. I started my Korowai while Mum worked on the one she is making. She was very happy with me as I am a great pupil ha ha. There were several things I needed to learn in order to complete one myself and now I've got it stored in my brain. Fantastic learning curve for me. I came home with all my work in bags. Visited my sister today and had the compamy of my eldest son who has spent a week visiting his Nana, Aunties, Uncles , cousins, nieces, nephews, etc. He had a great time. He had not seen them all for 6 years. We had a good drive home stopping here and there for breaks. I'm tired because Mum and I were weaving until 3.30 this morning. I kid you not. She was determined to make sure I learnt all there was to learn. I rang her not long ago and she said she had slept all day ha ha. It's lovely in some ways that S will be closer to you. You'll be so handy ha ha. I just started a smaller Korowai for M so that when I get tired of the Adult one I can work on hers. I'll have to build a frame somehow. Might have a look at the weekend under the house for timber. I'm going to knit the wrap for awhile. makerealbany - 2014-10-09 22:45:00
Lots of projects on the go for you! Well done and it sounds like you had some great family visits. I am so looking forward to seeing My Mum and Dad at Labour Weekend. It's a shame S. doesn't move in till the week after as she will have to travel across town to feed the girls while we are away. It will be so much easier once she has moved. Who knows we might weekends away in between visits to Blenheim when she's so close. LOL. Last day of the holiday programme today and they are off to a Llama Park. The alarm went off randomly yesterday afternoon giving us all a bit of a fright BUT the kids who were in the hall just stood up and filed out without an adult telling them they had to. A-M-A-Z-I=N-G!!!!! They were quiet, in single file, found an adult outside and waited. After they had been back in about 5 minutes it happened again and off they went again. You can certainly tell Christchurch kids now. Very sad really. It was like they were resigned to what was going to happen next. When we've done fire drills it's always chaotic but yesterday, they knew it was out of the ordinary and were amazing. They were all 7 to 9 year olds. grizzly4 - 2014-10-10 06:42:00
They are amazing kids. Great Emergency Preparedness Training. My grandchildren yell out and open windows and doors when the smoke alarms go off. Even though everyone has Expelairs over their bench tops when they are opening oven doors ,off they go. Drives me crazy. That's the only time they go off. They all have fire drills at school. You will be able to run off when S is closer . After my marathon drives in two days I took it easy today. Went with T to the Neurologist at 6 . He gave her an emergency appoint. $360 later not much wiser than before but confirmed no work and an MRI ASAP . We called into see my son on the way home then after I had coffee at T's I drove home again. Got here at 11 so bed for me now lol. makerealbany - 2014-10-11 00:11:00
I resent paying that much money for no answer! Had an early start this morning taking S. and her friend to airport for Justin Timberlake concert in Auckland this weekend. Then went to work and finished DIY stuff in playground. Yahoo. Going to tak it easy now. LOL. Maybe. grizzly4 - 2014-10-11 12:30:00
Went up to my daughters for lunch with A and the kids. Nice lunch and good fun at the park. Came home and have been working on the little Korowai. Just noticed the time. Time sure does fly when you are having a creative blizz. Lol. I'm going to knit for 30 mins and then it's bed for me. makerealbany - 2014-10-12 00:05:00
LOL - you notice the time and then change to a different craft before going to bed! LOL. I finished another finger puppet and downloaded some free dolls clothes patterns from the 'net from U.S. I like the different ideas they have sometimes. I have a dolls beret but didn't like the knitted flower on it so searched for some other ideas. Found one I really like so giving that a go this afternoon. Working in the garden this morning and then off to take photos of some of the new buildings etc that are going up on empty sites to show Mum and Da in a couple of weeks. grizzly4 - 2014-10-12 10:32:00
Mowed lawns. 2 hours and still got to mow the bottom lawns down the hill. Maybe tomorrow. Weeded gardens and sprayed. Got through a lot and feel it now lol. Just cooking dairy free cupcakes for J. He's home with me tomorrow so we will go for a library visit in the afternoon. Got to drop M at school. Yippee ha ha. If I start searching for patterns hours fly by. Mum has been ringing to check that I am weaving lol. makerealbany - 2014-10-12 19:57:00
All the flower gardens are tidied now, the ornamental hedge at the front is trimmed and all the bushes and trees tidied and trimmed. Huge job doing the trips and I hate seeing I. balance on top of the extended ladder or on top of the fence. But very pleased once it's done. We both have muscles on muscles this morning LOL. Just the vege beds to bring into line now. I remembered to photograph my projects this week. OOps never went into the city to take the pictures for Mum and Dad. grizzly4 - 2014-10-13 06:25:00
http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/full/338657254.jpg grizzly4 - 2014-10-13 06:30:00
http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/full/338657213.jpg This one is the combination of 2 patterns I found LOL. Fits a 16-18" doll. grizzly4 - 2014-10-13 06:32:00
Very cool. I'm not going to show M6 or she'll start putting an order in lol she does ask if she sees something she likes. j and I weeded and dug the vege garden. I sat down after lunch and o boy muscles on muscles alright. I'm going to get the washing in and then try and get to the library before we pick M up. A not home until 6 or so tonight so easy Spaghetti Bolognaise for tea. I bath them at 4.30. It's a routine so I am not messing with it lol. makerealbany - 2014-10-13 14:06:00
I used to like bathing my kids early, too. Especially once they were old enough to leave in there and just check regularly, I could get tea on, washing folded and put away and they were getting some down time after a long day. grizzly4 - 2014-10-14 06:45:00
That's fast alright. After another long day I was very pleased when my daughter arrived home lol. Spent the evening winding yarn from hanks. Glad that's done. I have finished the wrap. Did a bit of weaving. A few rows at a time is still progress ha ha. I'm going to knit M a cotton top for Christmas.have to start making pressies or it will be December before we know it. Heavens another year gone by. makerealbany - 2014-10-14 22:32:00
Exactly how I feel! DIL wanted Secret Santa in place this year to save money but decided that weren't as large as her family so no point but we did agree that the theme for the adult presents this year would be 'handmade'. I guess that lets the men of the hook. Sigh. She thinks that's going to be cheaper! S. isn't pleased as she's not crafty and doesn't have the time to put into it. She says she will make up gift baskets instead of buying them LOL. I thought I might do towel sets with fabric panels. You can get some really pretty quilting fabrics with cool themes on them these days. And the work involved should be quite straight forward. Fingers crossed. I'm a bit stuck on what to get the boys this year. I was thinking of the robot dogs that are all the rage in the toy shops but we think they all work on the same wavelength so B9 and L7 couldn't play in the same room. Bit of a shame. We are having all sorts of computer problems at the moment. Started with not being able to receive emails a week ago. Fixed that and now we can't send any. Spark are no help at all and whatever I. has done to try and fix it has opened up a can of worms in advertising rubbish. Sigh. And the batteries are going flat in the mouse! grizzly4 - 2014-10-15 06:37:00
Any by now of course we can't send or receive emails. Grrrr! We are so tired, starting to not think straight. They are working on the intersection by our house 7pm to 7am for last 3 nights. The girls are upset, we are either awake or being woken up regularly. Roll on the weekend. I turned the dolls hat with the flower into a baby size one as well. LOL. grizzly4 - 2014-10-16 06:53:00
That's a cool idea about the towels. I'm going to pinch that idea. Never thought of that. Mowed lawns down the bottom and weeded two gardens. I am potting Christmas Lillie's up for pressies. Going to search for some nice pots now. Not giving any to my girls as I gave A some last year and I had to Repot them in a larger pot in the winter lol. M has gone skirt crazy again so I'll make her another one. Plus she wants to make bath bombs again for everyone. Ha ha. She loves making things. This afternoon I had to put the lip balm she mixed up in the microwave for her. She is not allowed to use it without supervision. The lip balm was really hot after 30 secs. It turned out great. I have been weaving tonight but I want to finish that second wrap so I had better move it. I thought I had posted yesterday duh. Brain cell function not on lol. Hope you get the work computer sorted. What a nuisance. makerealbany - 2014-10-16 22:07:00
It wasn't the work computer, it was here at home! I had a late meeting last night and by the time I was home I. had been back on to Spark to get it sorted. Took 10 minutes apparently after he had spent ages with another guy on Tuesday night, who actually made it worse. Our complaint has been lodged. LOL. But it was the icing on the cake, getting it fixed, after a really good day yesterday. I probably spent more time doing shop stuff than grizzly4 - 2014-10-17 06:58:00
Oh boy I just deleted my message. Must be tired lol. My IPad would not work this morning but A fixed it for me. Modern technology. Glad you enjoyed you enjoyed your talk . I loved talking about my Organisations and the work we did, etc. Very rewarding in many ways ha ha. I used to get plants as well because they knew I liked gardening and lived in the country. We had 36 branches of the Red Cross in our area and I visited them all on a regular basis. Best working years of my life. Wonderful dedicated people. So many challenges but a very positive working environment . makerealbany - 2014-10-18 00:14:00
Over $700 later I had a bootful of goodies to share between the programmes and then later in the day I ordered another $600 of craft and science activities. Hopefully I will hear the results of another application later this month and I'm hoping to get outdoor sports stuff and waterplay items. The Purple Patch has just donated their left over paint to cover the existing tired art work on our railway carriage (which forms the base of our fort and playground equipment). Each programme are then going to design the new art work for each side and the January Holiday Programme can paint it on. Part of the repairs I. has done is going to be covered by blackboard paint so we have a new outdoor creative area. One of the programme supervisor's roped her Dad into building additional planter boxes so we have one now with swan plants (eggs were laid within 2 days) and small veges, the other big one has more veges and tomatoes, potatoes will go in the tyres, and raspberry canes are in the long, narrow planter. Such an amazing space for the children and me as my office window looks out into as well. grizzly4 - 2014-10-18 09:49:00
That sounds great. I really love Montesorri Playcentres because amongst other things they have vegetable gardens and fruit trees with really cool outdoor play areas. Children learn so much there. L makerealbany - 2014-10-18 22:02:00
Good grief that sounds incredibly stressful. There is nothing worse living with difficult neighbours 24/7. Tress Pass notice sounds like a good idea as long as they adhere to it. Maybe telling your sons would work better. LOL. S. had a meltdown yesterday, too many changes all at once this month, I think. Organising her shift to a new house, changing gym's, meeting a new bloke...... I feel a bit helpless with these mental health issues at times. It's so unexpected from her, I always thought it would our son we would be supporting as depression was a bit of an issue during his teen years. S's panic attacks come out of the blue and this time poor B6 was with her. Managed to get her calm enough to get her here for the rest of the afternoon and I. played with B and the new Lego we bought for here. Very timely. But B's such a sponge, soaking up all this stuff. grizzly4 - 2014-10-19 10:06:00
