Moroccan Cake.. the final part of 3..The Assembly. Assembly; 75g butter, 180g honey & 180g flaked or slivered almonds. Preheat oven 170c. With the cake still in tin, prick 60 to 75 holes in the top and down into the cake. Pour the mint syrup evenly over the top of cake slowly to allow seepage into cake. Place butter, honey & almonds in a saucepan & melt together stirring until well combined. Do not allow to boil. Remove from heat and immediately spread this topping on the cake to cover the whole top. Place the cake back into oven & bake the topping to a light amber colour approx 15 minutes. Remove and allow to cool in tin for 20-30 minutes. Remove cake from tin carefully and remove paper gently while still warm. Dust with icing sugar before serving. P.S. Please avoid burning the top upon second time in oven.

Just bumping this thread, unsure on time now allowed for threads to be kept.

Currently with some, now over 10 days and still being increased.

Being watchful all the same.

Cheers.

valentino - threads now last for a year after the last posting, so no need to bump. If no-one has posted on a thread for 12 months I think it's safe to assume that there's no interest!

Just googled friendship cake and got some interesting recipes, but were very long process up to 30days to make and then at the end of all of that you add the mix to pre bought cake mix.A bit of a let down after going through all the steps lolz.

Pumpkin, Carrot and raisin loaf
this has turned out to be my favourite loaf at the moment so moist and delicious.
11/2 cups flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp b.soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup grated carrot
1/2 cup raisins or sultana's
3/4 cup mashed and cooled pumpkin
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
Preheat oven to 160C , grease a loaf tin. Sift the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg,b.soda, and salt into a bowl, stir through the sugar, grated carrot and raisins and make a well in the centre. in a jug beat the pumpkin, eggs, oil and water then pour into the well, stir together gently and spoon into loaf tin and level off with a spatula. bake in preheated oven for 65-70 mins, allow to stand in tin for 8-10mins before turning on to cooling rack.

Thanks elliehen, I too used the search function and never came up whether username or thread name...

Last week, left a message in the " Tips, help & troubleshooting " re this problem.... looks like one has to use this as another example.

Cheers.

just want to say thanks for all these recipes. I bake heaps and i'm so bored with my recipes so keen to try some new ones. I also like very quick 'no creaming' 'dump everything in one bowl' recipes that I can whip up while cooking tea! Found a few here, thank you so much!

Reporting in to say I made the Cappucino Cake today - I don't really eat my own baking (I'm more of a savoury person) but the other half has already demolished about a quarter of it so it must be good!!
sorry I'm not sure what page it's on, probably near the start of the thread and it was really easy to make so I fully recommend it!
