Poor you pam, that certainly sounds very uncomfortable and it's also going on and on. Feet up day by the sound of it. We went to the blue mountains this weekend and the cold just shut my airways asthma wheezing and now a chesty cough, I am finding with adult onset asthma it goes downhill very fast and one can feel very sick very quickly and one has just to take it very easy not easy to do when you have visitors you are gadding about. Back in nz Thursday so not looking forward to the flight home.

That looks absolutely stunning, we haven't headed south yet we have been yo yo ing just waiting to settle down into more of a routine we have 3 weeks coming up in Sydney so looking forward to staying put, my friend has said how freezing it is we were 21 degrees yesterday I am in a t shirt with my apartment door open. Off to an officer and a gentleman tonight it finishes 1st July got scathing reviews but general peoples reviews were quite good and when it goes off the radar it won't come back I think.
Pam do you think you are getting to fasting and then introducing a food at a time, I have heard of a really good food allergy specialist and thinking of it for myself with my sinus /asthma problems thinking that red wine sniffles me up - sulphites may be my acheelsies heel not sure yet but am sure am fed up with not feeling that well. And as we seam to be on a plane every week it's not pleasant.

I so wanted to see "Office and a Gentleman" one of my favourite movies in my teens. But with all that is going on around here just not possible - The girls and I have decided we want to see "The Spice Girls" musical.... in Sydney...mmmm wonder who we could visit.

Officer and a gentleman was just fab, lead was sex on legs all 12 pack of him in white boxer shorts, the singing and dancing was very good so sad it got slated by the critics, legally blond is coming soon to Sydney and that's won musical of the year so that should be well worth watching, they had introductory tickets yesterday but missed out on them. Toady if you want to stay at hotel Ali you will have to get dates in we are just about full every
weekend til Xmas between travelling and people staying, I just booked sister to visit Wellington Sydney renturn and got a great deal quantas was 200 cheaper than air nz.

Morning all :)
Brrr - a chilly wind blowing through the Nelson region today!
Nothing compared to the lashing northland is getting today though - hope you have battened down the hatches fisher!
I've got Miss 15 here for the hols & we've been cooking up a storm. I've been teaching her some easy middle-eastern recipes like kofta & falafel which her Dad will benefit from when she goes back :) She made an awesome mint yoghurt dressing which she was very proud of! It's great to see her love of cooking developing. Her flat mates will be lucky one day!
She's is spending the day at NMIT today doing a 3D graphic design course. It's worth 3 credits for NCEA & gives her a look at campus life.
Strange to see my baby thinking about tertiary study already! I'm sure I haven't gotten any older lol!
Have a great day all & stay warm xx

Winnie, someone sent me this email the other day, I can relate to how you are feeling:
THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT HERE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY!

We Must Stop This Immediately!

Have you noticed that stairs are getting steeper . Groceries are heavier . And, everything is farther away. Yesterday I walked to the corner and I was dumbfounded to discover how long our street had become!
And, you know, people are less considerate now, especially the young ones. They speak in whispers all the time! If you ask them to speak up they just keep repeating themselves, endlessly mouthing the same silent message until they're red in the face! What do they think I am, a lip reader?
I also think they are much younger than I was at the same age. On the other hand, people my own age are so much older than I am. I ran into an old friend the other day and she has aged so much that she didn't even recognize me.
I got to thinking about the poor dear while I was combing my hair this morning, and in doing so, I glanced at my own reflection…well, REALLY NOW - even mirrors are not made the way they used to be!
Another thing, everyone drives so fast these days! You're risking life and limb if you happen to pull onto the freeway in front of them. All I can say is, their brakes must wear out awfully fast, the way I see them screech and swerve in my rear view mirror.
Clothing manufacturers are less civilized these days. Why else would they suddenly start labeling a size 10 or 12 dress as 18 or 20? Do they think no one notices? The people who make bathroom scales are pulling the same prank. Do they think I actually 'believe' the number I see on that dial? HA! I would never let myself weigh that much! Just who do these people think they're fooling?
I'd like to call up someone in authority to report what's going on -- but the telephone company is in on the conspiracy too: they've printed the phone books in such small type that no one could ever find a number in there!

All I can do is pass along this warning:
WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!

Unless something drastic happens, pretty soon everyone will have to suffer these awful indignities.

Glad you enjoyed it. The email it came in had lots of those great animated "old lady" drawings to go with it. Funny, I have actually never resented ageing. I love the wrinkles especially. Never used a face cream in my life! The lady who was my adopted grandmother in NZ had the best wrinkles and I aim to be just like that. Laugh lines really. She laughed a lot so I shall call it my tribute to her. Have a great day everyone.

19 degrees here, fog this morning mind and traffic was dreadful this evening as there was a crash on the airport tunnel, when you live in a big city you have to take the good with the bad, good is we pick up hubby's car tomorrow so no more sharing, trains are good but not for metro malls and getting food! It costs me 4.60 return to town hall where there is a massive Westfield one wouldn't bother taking the car. I have the very same car (same model, year, colour, features) in both countries it's hard to remember which one I have filled up with petrol lol!! There are so many red light cameras in Sydney the paper said the other week that they are getting 6 million dollars a week revenue from them, hoping like hell I don't get a funny looking envelope in the mail box. Hope you get on well with your new bed cooks, I just did a detox and no different in symptoms think I have to eat sensibly and hope my body regulates.

The bed is amazing and so comfortable! We had zero degrees this morning and 1 degree on the way to work, my poor wee car was covered in frost and ice...makes me thankful for heated seats. We do have a gorgeous day today, so I dont mind the cold. I just dont like those grey, cheerless days with no sun, we had one of those on Sunday and it was just so depressing. Our customers are alsways so much happier when the sun is shining.

We had 2 of those days, just horrid, but today the sun is shinning, much better mood, lol.

Amazing how much our moods are reflected by the weather, that vitimin D is so important to us all. Scraping ice off is not my idea of fun, getting out of a lovely warm bed is a real challenge this time of year and facing the shower if the tiles are freezing cold!!

Glad you're seeing the sun over there EA ... that's one thing that used to get to me living on the coast ... those cold grey days.
It's another cracker here in Nelson. Unfortunately though I drove to work in the dark & I'll drive home in the dark too. Aiming to get out for a quick walk during lunchtime. Top up my vitamin D :)
Ali - I cover my windscreen with an old wollen blanket so it doesn't ice over but I've still got the back window to deal with :/ I need a car size blanky lol!

What do you think caused them to go? Or do you have no idea? Glad they have gone it can make you very down when things like that drag on. Adelaide was fun Mcclaren vale and barossa done over two days boy they are generous at the cellar door and one of them had ridicoulsy expensive wines I scored the best tasting muscat I have ever tasted it was a lost and forgotten barrel that was discovered over 60 years old and as smooth as cream just don't think i am going to be able to bring myself to share that one :) beautiful city very old buildings a lot like Christchurch cold though and the locals seamed to not have layers and layers on, bit like our southerners lol.
Lovely day in Sydney not a cloud and think its going to hit the twentys nice quiet day with scrapping and reading for me.
