My brother has asked me to track down a book for him, its The Postage Stamps of New Zealand 1855-1873.
http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=D1wARQAACAAJ&dq=inaut
hor:%22Robert+P.+Odenweller%22&hl=en&sa=X&ei=T1s
xU-HgPPS60AHMzoGYCw&ved=0CD8Q6AEwAg

Do any philatelists in here know where I may find this book?
Thanks in advance.

Murray, I think may be a record first time this has ever happened. No wonder you want to crow about it! It is only running to your script. What is the end chapter in your book saying?

Yes, I have tried them and found a link to something in Germany, but was just hoping someone here may be willing to part with theirs if they had one, or knew where they may be available.

I'll be there for sure and i'll be there before 9am but I'll bet many of the bargains will have already been snapped up by then.

NZ Patriotic & Peace Covers & also War-related postmarked Slogans: Hi, guys. I've finally started collecting these (have wanted to do it for a long time). Can anyone point me to a list of available NZ patriotic & Peace covers, and slogans. I've come across the following site (http://www.rpsnz.org.nz/index-
.php/our-writings/patrioticcov-
ers), but where else? Thanks. David

I see every one of these coming up on ebay and watch / buy those I don't have. Missed out on some beauties recently - overseas patriotic covers brought to NZ during the war and sent back overseas with NZ wartime stamp issues on them. Very nice indeed.

I would leave on, as some may have good post marks on the paper.

The envelopes have value, including any slogans or other postmarks.

Has anyone got some advice on good albums. I haven't collected for about 16 years as kids kinda got in the way. Pulled out my collection the other day and feel inspired. God I love my stamps! Nerd! Anyway I have the Premier Ring Binders with all the inserts but would really love a set of albums with full slip in hinges (like the hawid) ones. Premier sell one set $3500!! I have found another that is by NZ Revenues never heard of them and album looks a bit budget. What are others using? I like the Premier layout and information about the stamps but would like something a little more sophisticated.

Hi depends if they are 1946 stamps or stamps signed in 1946 and if they are general postage stamps or wage tax / social secuirty ones. Also do they have perfins (company initials in/on them).

I dont know for a dealer, but you can take some pics and put on here. Donaldo is a trustworthy sort, but not in North Shore.

The full receipt with stamps attached as a complete document may see interest from a collector of those sort of documents - who knows..

Hi. First time visiting any community forum, tho desperately in need of help & advice please, on how best to group my stamps for listing. Usually collect coins, tho being amazed at the artwork & history of stamps, I've managed to gather many along the way, 3 boxe lots now in fact! I always intended to learn about them, tho needed a teacher for simple basics, as I know nothing about these. Most r pre decimal, half being pristine, from all over the globe. Tho sadly due to ill health, & now almost wheelchair bound, it's simply too much for me to learn what is needed, & others shod get to enjoy them instead. Any ideas on camera, or how 2get good detail with photos? ANY advice u can offer, is kindly appreciated thankyou

My advice is to forget cameras and use a flat bed scanner as you will get a much better result for stamps which are basically a flat image. Scan at 300 dpi

These extra meetings are only held 2 or 3 times a year so make sure you come along.
