Thaks she is quite cute... only problem is SHE KNOWS IT!!! Still haven't finished, all the fabric is dry, just have another 3-4 metres to iron and fold, then i have to go through and match tags to fabric... sigh!
One thing i have started doing, is i like to put a little tag on my fabric, with a note of where i bought it, the pattern name etc, and original size of the fabric. Also gets marked with QC (quilting cotton) and after washing HW (handwashed).
Have found with fat 1/4's. if i'm careful i can peel the info side of the label off (with name, price barcode) and stick this to my piece of paper, cutting the job time in half! Thought i might share in case anyone does the same by hand!

Liz, why do you want to know how much you paid for a piece of fabric. i would not want to know, thankfully my local fabric shop doesnt even print out a docket ;)

price not so important, although it is good if i need to go get more of something so i know how much it's gonna be, as work on very limited funds.
Mainly the name and the barcode/product code... the barcode means they can look up the fabric if i need more and see if they still stock it, if they getting more in, if it's been discontiuned etc.

Morning all, just back from taking dog for a walk. Thanks for your question Coalie, yes it is still her nose. Vet did a biopsy yesterday, $145 dollars later he rang to say it was all clear. It is like a mole on her snout but it is sort of raised and rather ugly. Vet keeps saying it will go away on its own but it looks so awful I want it gone anyway we (vet and me) have decided to give it until after Easter and if still there he will remove it.
Lovely quilt Twi, I just love the bright colours but I am never brave to play with such brights.
Hope you are feeling better today Liz, the ironing can wait if you don't feel good. A friend of mine always says as long as people and animals are fed everything else can wait.

franny8 - 2010-02-26 11:07:00
5780

hi fran. my sister has a wee dog and she has funny hard crusty things on her nose vet said not to worry, but she is 13 years, she is part pekaness (sp) he said its commen in that breed because of pushed in nose,
you should give the brights ago fran, my sister got me interested in them and havent looked back, just buy some small pieces of fabric to start with
love that quote......as long as people and animals are fed everything else can wait. so true lol

I love the handstitching part cos it means it's nearing the end - always love the result. In fact, I'd quite like to finish off the ones that must be out there waiting for that last process. I can't stand the thought that someone has gone to all the trouble to get nearly to the end and then put it aside.

I like the stitch you used.

Well i learnt to sew only using 1 hand (from watching mum, she only has use of 1 arm due to stoke before i was born) I just think it's sooo cute (and it doesn't take flaming batteries) Will prob get her a little cheap plastic one!.
Was too lazy to go to the supermarket on the way home from picking Livi up for bread rolls for the burgers... so i made some instead!!! Apparently my logic is backward!

liz_taylor - 2010-02-26 18:19:00
5798

maybe reserve isnt much more Liz, ask them and see. It would last her well. A plastic one may not be much cheaper.
