Good luck to the job hunters, winnie and motorbo...don't allow rejection to dent your belief in your ability to do the jobs you apply for.

The literary world is full of stories about great authors who received multiple rejections from publishers.

Here's a list of 50 iconic writers who were repeatedly rejected:

A beautiful sunny day here after an amazing frost last night - got colder and colder, looked outside in the early hours.. a layer of frost over everything, no wonder it was cold!

Hi Pam.. :-) .. my goodness.. snow.. it's such an amazing view looking out towards the mountain range there when they're touched by snow.. just beautiful..

Itching like that aint fun! I completely understand.. have had something similar - and the broken sleep with all the itching didn't help.. doctor gave me Locoid cream which helped for a short time, not the best to use it often though.. then was given both Aqueous cream - in a large pottle, and Nutraplus cream - in a tube.

I found using the Aqueous cream liberally as a moisturiser helped a lot - if my skin was even a little dry, the itching was worse.. so the Aqueous helped as a preventative too, and I used the Nutraplus when needed. I applied both creams before going to bed too. Together they stopped the itching and inflammation - and also stopped me going crazy!!!

Thankfully gone now, though every now and then the inside of my wrists will feel a little kind-of sensitive/prickly - using the Nutraplus immediately stops it. Cause unknown - doctor said 'sometimes things don't need to have a reason!' okaaay! lol..

Have a lovely weekend away with your darling.. hope your Naturopath is able to help.

Just thinking.. it'll be a few years now since we all shared in the excitement of your wedding here in 'Recipes'.. you'll have had a few anniversaries by now.. and it's always lovely to read here of the times you both make special to share together.. :-)

Hi all,
hope you've got a nice weekend planned.
Autumn really has us firmly in it's grasp now with some frosts here already!
Loving the chance to make some nice heart-warming dishes though ... beef & guiness casserole, thick vege soup and last night was pumpkin & silverbeet lasagne.
I'm enjoying making my little cottage a home and there's a couple of interesting options come up on the job hunt so we'll see what happens. I have a lovely employment consultant who is helping me free of charge and I feel confident that things will work out.
Cooks - I hope you can find an answer soon (sending virtual hugs your way as I imagine real ones would hurt right now!).

Morning all, nice to be having a day off. Not quite sure what the fascination is with the two posters that have left us. For one of them, the postings just give her the attention she craves. Frankly, I am enjoying the peace and quiet and seeing posters come back to recipes without fear of being ridiculed. I for one dont miss them one jot.
Think we might have a quiet day at home today, pottering. Plenty of leaves to rake up in the garden. Caught the two new gorls up on the roof of the chicken coop this morning! Fudge was right on the apex of the roof, while Honey was contect a bit lower down!...hope they get out of THAT habit real quick.

I know what you mean,I have not been posting as much, for fear of being tramped on,I am not a strong person really, very shy,you may not think so lol,but I am.
I hope they are gone for good,I know it is not a nice thing to say,but it was getting out of control.

Maybe you need the Sydney entertainment book and just work your way through it lol. One thing about Sydney, there is never a shortage of somewhere to eat.... its just a matter of discovering the good ones.
Sorry can't help you.....

I felt very strange being in a different country to my kids for mothers day, we celebrated last weekend when we were back in nz but very funny. Thanks for the restaurant ideas, we are very fortunate that below the apartment is a selection of restaurants including one of the freshest cleanest Japanese restaurants and also a great Thai, which we had tonight as forgot that the Japanese was closed. Such a variation of prices and the league clubs are
just huge and not necessary a good feed either.

So nice to see Ali....

I had a stink Mothers Day... .although most the year i get treated ok... Mothers Day was a non event for me....I had a hastily wrapped box of my favourite choccies and got told they couldn't find the hydrangea I wanted.... no rain check voucher....no card.... nothing...... I cooked most of the breakfast for my Mum & Dad and family, the girls were out all day with Drama and work... then dinner Miss 18 was too tired to peel a potatoe and went to bed early and Miss 19 had a big lunch mid day at work so didn't want dinner so it was just Mr T and I..... stink..... At least he made it... felt guilty I think
I have asked for a re run......

Toady lol your two are now at the official age where that's what they do, it's also the time they think of us as 1 1/2 foot in the grave we seam so old to them!! Ordering a second mothers day is a very good idea. We sorted out mil and also had the boys take another card and pressie around. Got broadband up and running last night so quite impressed how fast it is. Meanwhile back at the ranch we are getting daily emails about going over limits - big difference here we have 500 mb which I am sure we will hardly touch.

cookessentials... I hope you are better from your sickness that saw you at the Drs. For your welts - try googling Tamanu Oil. There are a couple of people that sell it here on Trade Me. I am living in Rarotonga at the moment and have come across this - it is a miracle oil from what I have read!! Well worth a try - we are crushing nuts here ourselves as an experiment, and I have put it on wounds on myself and the kids, and they have healed in no time. It has amazing properties, and it definitely can't hurt (unless you are allergic to nuts that is). Good luck.
