That sounds terrible, sounds like you need to go to the hospital, your G.P obviously isnt prescribing anything thats helping. Is there anyone spraying in the area? Just a thought.
Anyway i better get ready for work.
Goodluck.

OOOh Cookes, that's horrible. I get the 'itchies' as I call them when I get cold. Basically an allergy to the cold! Although in summer if I go walking I can get them on my neck and arms because I sweat a bit and that cools down my skin so the hives come up. If I go outside to hang up washing and there is still a chill in the air I get the itchies on exposed areas of skin. It started out of the blue about five or six years ago on a cool summer morning. No antihistamine makes a difference and they fade away over several hours. Very frustrating so I feel for you. Often you have no idea what causes the hives, it is just one of those things. My doctor told me to expect them for up to two years and while they have lessened I think that may just be because I don't let myself get cold. Still waiting! Air conditioning can do it too. All the best and I hope they can identify the cause and it's not just 'idiosyncratic'

Hi all :)
I've been a bit of a lurker of late but had Miss 15 with me for most of the school hols so getting any internet time was a challenge lol!
I gained my 1st real home since 22/02/11 about 2 weeks ago but loose my job in 7 days time so trying times in paradise.
Just have to keep believing that things will work out but certainly was challenging keeping a straight face while missy was here.
Watch this space ..... good news to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
ps.... hugs welcomely received & given ...

cookessentials wrote:

The names suit them perfectly. They had a bit of a "scrap" tonight when Speckles let them know where HER spot on the roost was LOL. Dinner is smelling lovely. Just about to serve up. I usually do the pork belly in milk, but saw the recipe in "Delicious" and thought I would give it a go for a change. When do you think you might hear about the job?? if you do come up to Masterton, we should catch up.

Thanks everyone :)
I'm enjoying nesting in my new little home & certainly believing things will all work out.
I know I'll have work next tourist season (October-ish) so I've just got to get through winter.
The only furniture I have at the moment is my bed so the kitchen/living room is looking very bare but I'm going into Motueka later to collect a single bed base & an old lazy boy (the chair kind lol!). Once I get a bookcase or two & a table it'll look a lot more homely :)
Hope you're feeling better today Pam & hope your situation improves soon motorbo.
Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

Bumping for news from mortobo!!!
Hope the interview went well for you :)
As for your limited cooking facilities ... you know I've been living in caravans for over a year now so believe me when I say there's lots that you can do. (My new cottage doesn't have a stove so I'm stuck with the tried & true for now).
'Pot roasts' with the veges surrounding your meat in the electric fry pan.
Meat or vege (or meat&vege fritters) with a salad on the side.
Curries, chillies, soups, stirfries ...
Two pot dishes where you cook your carb first (rice, pasta, spuds, couscous) and leave on the side while you cook the meat/veg component.
If you can - invest in a little bench top oven. I have an old one from my Mum which isn't the gruntiest but it allows me to heat pies, make pasta or vege bakes, mini casseroles, baked potatoes ... miss 15 even managed cheese scones in it during the hols.
Hang in there girl ... and see yourself in better days :)
