Ellie.... let it go... think you are just fueling their fire. I have told my girls since they are knee high.
"You can't change people but you can change how they effect you" Like the schoolyard bully.... ignore them and they will look at someone else to target.
And for people who find this a "sad" thread... simple don't look into it.

In life I chose who I associate with... which is why you won't find me interacting with some people.... I have a choice. I love winnies saying about the pig in mud... very true.

So please Buzzy... I will say this only once (Think Allo Allo) Please start your thread... or I will. Then you can discuss what interests you.. with people that you want to hang out with.

What I meant is... don't respond. I have lost count of contentious posts or boredom bumps... just to try and evoke a response... and do you know what.... someone always takes the bait.

I have made the conscious effort not to.

And in the words of Forrest Gump
"Thats all I am going to say about that*

Well gues what... I saw sunshine today, just about fell of my chair, had forgotton what it looked like.
I had boiled 2 small free range cornfed chickens yesterday and had every intention in turning it into 245Sams Chicken Casserle with a crumbed Topping (originally Alison Holsts I think). Well I had an unexpected visitor coming so it just got tossed through Pasta, Ok but not nom nom nom. It was nice to have all the meat off the frame as I had roasted another twin pack and it was quite fiddly to carve and serve.

Have a great evening everyone... Take Care JB

Sure, unless they eat here and then the pressure will be too much.... And I guess I will just have to invent a flash meal and hope Pam doesn't blow my cover lol.

So nice to see the sun :)
A beautiful afternoon/evening here in Marahau.
My work 'uniform' consists of a company logo'd t-shirt, black shorts or 3/4 pants & bare feet ... if it wasn't for all the questions I have to answer & bookings I have to make - I could almost pretend I was on holiday too lol!

Hope the shared meal was an enjoyable catch up for you two :)
Nice photo Ellie ... I had a kingfisher outside the caravan earlier - the cat startled it & it startled the cat! I'm not sure which of them took off faster!!

I rescued a King Fisher from my cat once... then the bl$%@dy thing turned on me and chased me lol... Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that one... The rescuer becomes the hunted... and they have BIG Beaks I tell you.

Ellie, love the cat. I got a lovely cartoon cat calendar for Christmas. It was my favourite present.

Regarding tui, my dad had 17 in his kowhai tree one year on his birthday. Killing possums in the area where he lives has really made an impact on the native bird population.

You know I had this thought that you nice people would want to bury you venom so I think I'll transfer all of the most trenchant posts onto this thread before that happens and let you look and see just what sort of people you really are. I will even post cooks glorious post for all to admire.

It is certainly 'faintly ridiculous' to begin a thread for 'how to strategise' to deal with toxic posts when Trade Me has its own perfectly adequate ways to Community Watch such posts.

The "Circle of Friends" thread mentioned exists for posters to chat about goings-on both inside and outside of their kitchens, and the chat there is very similar to the chat on any forum of people with a common interest....such as the Low Carb followers on the 'Dark Side'.

It will be great to see 'friends' together in one thread ...maybe some will learn not to be so patronising towards those, who also think for themselves, but agree to differ?

I think (and I may be wrong) that ellie just meant 'your' thread as in a 'thread you are participating in' .. and pointing out that it was not at all ridiculous to have a friendly, long-standing thread where people talk about the weather, the region, clothes, cooking, or anything they feel like. It's not usually a big deal, that requires it's own special thread, as a precursor to a special thread.... but if that's how buzzy feels it should be done, then all power to her. Unless I'm completely missing the point, of course, lol!

Wow. I can assure you that there is not a whiff of aggression or confrontation in my posts above.... bemusement is the worst I would call it! And "leader"? I really think you're a bit paranoid (and I'm saying that in the nicest possible way, believe me) if you think there is a 'leader' and therefore implying that I'm a follower....I honestly feel you and Uli need to chill out a bit, and not take this place so darned seriously!! Start your new thread if you wish.... what I was pointing out was.... it's a public place, where you could have ANY thread you wish, up and running by now.... why all the angst? I just don't get it.

See you later ...I'm off to enjoy my dinner ...a perfectly cooked quiche, using only the top quality ingredients, all organically grown buy myself or others & needless to say it will be perfectly presented & my flatmates will claim it delicious...just as your guests or DH does, with your culinary offerings.

Actually this poster was exaggerating. I answer questions, she is the one who then enters a thread with negativity.

I do because I see sabotage in many threads, not just in recipes.

Another poster who fails to understand that just because I give my opinion on a question it doesn't mean I am "pushing them and think they are the only right ones". That only happens when I have to defend myself against toxic attacks from the likes of the above poster. I am also permitted to hold my views, the same as cooks holds hers and fights tooth and nail to ensure people understand that her opinion is the ONLY opinion.

I see lots of threads sabotaged, by people pushing their views as the ONLY way.

With respect buzzy, can I point out that I can't see any 'sabotage' in the thread? It's called discussion. I really don't think you get it.... hence your need for a 'support' thread of your own. I wish you luck, I don't wish to sabotage anything/ anyone. cheers.

this is a wonderful example of just exactly the sort of behaviour 'nice' people display because she couldn't get people to accept her word on a subject. You all know who it is. Talk about her way being the only way.

"More showing of your nasty side again, but thats nothing new. Now, I reckon you need to either wear a bra .... or at least a proper one.you know that wearing your breasts on your waist is not good for them and I think it must be making you grumpy.the elastic on your pants must cause alot of discomfort."

Where in the world did that bit of spite come from?

It is very nice for you all, I think to know that everything you say that isn't very nice will be reposted into this thread so that you can consider just how 'nice' you all really are.

Remember you still have a little bit of time for me do delete every post and return this thread back to its hypocritical best. Just say the word.
