elliemrush re muesli bar recipe hi, I just got my Destitute Gourmet books in the mail and found the Muesli Bar recipe for you.
200g butter, 1 cup sugar, 5 cups muesli (any kind).
Grease a sponge roll tin with butter or cooking spray. If the muesli you are using is all large grains then add couple handfuls of finer grain variety to help bind the mixture - say 2-3 crumbled weetbix, some wheatgerm, or finely procedssed rolled oats. This will help the bars retain their shape. contd......

muesli bars contd..... Melt butter in large pan, add sugar and boil gently until mixture is a light golden colour - about 5-7mins. Don't stir mixture or it will turn sugary. When it's golden, turn off the heat and stir in the muesli, coating it well.
Pour mixture into the prepared tin and press down firmly. (wet hands means mix won't stick to hands.) With a spatula or fish slice press all around the edges, making sure the mix is as firmly packed as possible.
When cool cut into bars.
Hopefully this is the one you were after. Let me know if there is any others you might want and I'll post them for you.
