No Vax No Entry signs

1 | Anyone seen these around on TM? Or could make some more professional looking versions than handwritten ones? A friend with a severely immunocompromised child wants a couple for her gate and front door and hasn't the skills or the printer to produce her own, so I said I'd ask here. She is happy to pay reasonable cost plus post... oh_hunnihunni - 2021-11-12 13:03:00 |
2 | I've been wondering when they'll be available. Good business opportunity to start selling them. I'll buy two. oakcottage - 2021-11-12 13:10:00 |
3 | Yes, when I was talking to her I said I was going to make one for my door and she said she'd like a couple but not handmade, so I'm hoping someone with an eye for graphic design could do some for us. A4 size, just paper ones that can be posted and then laminated for weather proofing would be fine. oh_hunnihunni - 2021-11-12 13:32:00 |
4 | I made our own with Paint.Net, laminated it and velcro dotted to our entrances, worked already I think, got rid of the door to door charity knockers before they knocked. eaglefan - 2021-11-12 14:00:00 |
5 | I would need a printer, and I don't have one. Nor do I have access to the library print services yet, otherwise, yes I would do that. oh_hunnihunni - 2021-11-12 14:19:00 |
6 | I see that it is NOT a breach of human rights for employers to demand that employees are vaccinated. voyager4 - 2021-11-12 14:40:00 |
7 | Go here to print your QR code: https://covid19.govt.nz/business-and-money/businesses/get-yo And in the address description type "NO VAX - NO ENTRY" And then forward the PDF to someone who has a printer. Edited by gyrogearloose at 3:22 pm, Fri 12 Nov gyrogearloose - 2021-11-12 15:21:00 |

9 | Unless you are going to request proof of vaccination, a sign doesnt really mean much, as many people will just lie and say they are. As more and more workplaces and public areas require vaccination, and the growing displeasure towards the unvaxxed increases, people who arent vaccinated will just get sneakier about hiding it. Its going to become many peoples dirty little secret. tam-n-sav - 2021-11-12 15:57:00 |
10 | What about the trade me sellers who make signs for letterboxes etc like these guys (have purchased from them before) koru67 - 2021-11-12 15:59:00 |

13 | Why such an aggressive post? I explained why my friend wanted the sign. Her child is dying. It's a long drawn out process, a sign might help her feel safer. And I'd quite like one too. This is not a problem for us, but you seem to think its okay to point out the obvious. Good onya mate. oh_hunnihunni - 2021-11-12 17:11:00 |

17 | Vaccinations do not prevent people from getting covid. Many who have been jabbed are the ones on the covid lists the govt put out. But this aspect is covered up just like they do overseas. satori5 - 2021-11-12 18:46:00 |

Yes dishonest anti vaxxers will try and lie and cheat the system. Are the end of the day, businesses have the right to only serve who they want to (subject to discrimination laws). But within a month the vaccine certificate should be up and running so businesses will be easily be able to only admit the vaccinated if they wish to. This is just for a private home. No need for QR codes or detailed explanations - just a sign on the door to warn off casual callers who might or might not be aware the householder does not welcome unvaccinated visitors. Simple really. No need to make it complicated. oh_hunnihunni - 2021-11-12 19:44:00 |

25 | One of the huge advantages of 2000+ trades, is a lot of people know me. Problem sorted. Signs on their way. Generous souls, some of you, something I have always been very grateful for. ⤠oh_hunnihunni - 2021-11-12 22:24:00 |
26 | Tell us who hunni. We'll support them too and buy signs. Don't worry about rules anymore about naming people. Doesn't really matter anymore. Great result. oakcottage - 2021-11-12 22:30:00 |

Same problem. Everyone is supposed to have printer/scanners these days. Plus I want a solid sign, not say a laminated piece of paper. I think the anti-vaxxers will much prefer smashing up and kicking around a firm sign than needing to carry scissors everywhere for cutting up the laminated signs. Seriously, it will cause some people to perhaps get aggro over our signs. I can see cars driving past, screeching brakes then running back to my gate and smashing the crap outa my sign. Better buy a dozen. oakcottage - 2021-11-13 11:40:00 |

Make sure you have a gap between covid and 19. If you can't find it post in here and I'll provide the link. MB is going so....... oakcottage - 2021-11-13 14:13:00 |

Compare vaccinated deaths with unvaccinated. If you really think, genuinely think, governments around the world are covering things up, there really is no helping you. 42 | A sign though will deter casual door knockers. And save the resident asking those questions. Is plain speaking such a problem these days? Even in a private home? oh_hunnihunni - 2021-11-13 18:32:00 |
43 | These are the ones I will be putting up at our playcentre gate on Monday. Obviously specific to playcentres, but I am sure you could pillage any wording or design elements. https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/1643698900.jpg callum.irvine - 2021-11-13 19:05:00 |
