Mortgage Broker - Tauranga

#Post
1

My daughter and Son in Law are looking to buy their first home. Can anybody recommend a good local mortgage broker to help them on their way?

I would assume a face to face meeting would be easier?

Makes no difference - can do everything online including signing documents

Last time we tried to use an online mortgage broker it was hard and lots of emails and following up, in the end gave up and didn't bother remortgaging our house because it was so much mucking around.
If we ever did it again I would only use one that we could meet face to face.

Sadly that says more about your chosen broker than the type of communication.

Things have changed with covid and more mortgage brokers are mobile or working remotely

But, that would make it far too easy. It is far better to keep firing off suggestions until the the op sees one that matches her already formed opinion.

My daughter and her partner got their mortgage during lockdown last year so even though they used a local broker everything was done online anyway

Thank you #8. Happy to help out, whether local or distant most interviews are on line these days, same as the application process. FHB's have it tough at present I'm afraid, good to have options.
