PDF Download reading problem

#Post
1

I have a Dell Latitude E6540 running WIN 10.
When I download a PDF it shows up in my downloads folder, but I get an error message when I try to open it. It says Windows cannot find it.
What am I doing wrong? or what is wrong with my downloading?
Thanks.

"Windows cannot find DeLonghi coffee machine PDF. Make sure you've typed the name correctly and try again."

There is no problem with my typing the name as I went directly from the downloads to 'show in folder'. I renamed it from the original allocated number to see if that would work....it didn't.
It has definitely downloaded as it shows it as having 3142KB.

Ok so click 'show in folder' and then it'll open the download folder. Then drag it to the desktop ?

The problem with that is I only have the 'show in folder' option in a stripe across the bottom of the screen when I'm downloading.
If I go to the actual folder I get the error message.
OK, I've found a workaround by downloading Adobe PDF reader and made it my default choice.
Thanks for your input.

Hmmm....ok..By the way it's easy enough to find the download folder. In fact you can set that folder to be anywhere you want. Personally i always set it to be my desktop so that makes things very easy to find. Depending on what browser you're using you can change the settings to suit your own requirements.
