5 | Jeff, I was wondering, what are the lending implications of the news that many builders are no longer offering fixed-price contracts and quotations given the wildly volatile building materials market? I know that when I've built, the bank were insistent on it being fully conted and wanted the contingencies to be ringfenced and as small as possible. If this is the new norm for a while, how is that likely to affect someone wanting to build their own home or do a renovation? Obviously the financing for larger-scale developments happens differently, so is unlikely to suffer the same barriers. esprit - 2021-09-08 10:23:00 |
