Have other Spark email clients received an email today purporting to be from Spark and on their letterhead, with the heading "MAIL CHANGES - Your Spark mail needs to be upgraded today" and asking you to click on the link provided within the next 24 hours, as "Spark is upgrading their email version in next 24 hours & you need to upgrade and secure your data".
Looks like a scam to me but wanted to check out with others. Thanks

Spam and Scam are two different things. That looks to be Scam to me. If you're not sure OP get online on the Spark chat or ring them. DON'T use any contact method in the email such as links and even phone numbers.

And of course, if it's a legit email it'll have your actual name and account number in it also - if that info isn't there its certainly NOT legit.

Check yourself. Scams always come from weird email addresses, look at where it came from, never mind links...

The dead give away is the fact it says you only have 24 hours to do it !!
For most sort of major changes like what is being signalled most if not all companies would announce it is going to happen "months" ahead of the actual date.
In many cases people will need "assistance" to do it, I do not think Spark would want everybody to ring up, asking for assistance, with only 24 hours to "lift off".
Remember Spark is basically and deep down an ex-government department.. government departments do not move fast, like in 24 hours !!

Damn - haven't got the email yet. Does this mean we have to wait even longer for the phone call ? Hubby will be so disappointed - he loves playing with the scammers. Whenever the landline phone rings he jumps up saying "I hope it's the scammers".

I always check through messaging Spark via on F/B....Scam!!! Scam!!!
