| Hi everyone. I have an HP wireless printer it is a deskjet 2620 and it will not print. I have just put in two new ink cartridges and it lights up as though it has run out of coloured ink. Yes the cartridges are in correctly as they really only go in one way. I have taken them out replaced them several times put in new paper turned it on and off still wont print scan or copy all of which it is supposed to do. I dont know what else to do. Thanks. blackhonker - 2021-07-15 22:07:00 |
| The driver file could be corrupted? Try uninstalling the driver with the printer turned off then reboot your comp and then switch on your printer. If it doesn't auto re-instal the driver, then manually instal the driver. hulloitsme - 2021-07-15 22:51:00 |
| what is the driver and how do you do that please. Thanks for your reply. blackhonker - 2021-07-15 23:23:00 |
| Try a test print using the printers inbuilt functions. This excludes the computer. I doubt it's a driver issue if it prints from it's internal test function then the printer is fine and yeah it's got some communication issue with the computer. If it doesn't print then there's an error within the printer. Process of elimination. nice_lady - 2021-07-16 05:40:00 |
| Or....it has a faulty cartridge....does it give an error? And what is the error. lythande1 - 2021-07-16 08:23:00 |
| does it copy ? It's probably disconnected from the wireless. Hp make some software called Print & Scan doctor See if that helps resolve it. bitsnpieces2020 - 2021-07-16 13:32:00 |
| Why guess ? If it can't print a test page from the printers inbuilt menus then it's got some fault with the printer or the cartridge......... nice_lady - 2021-07-16 13:55:00 |

Is it still connected to your wireless? If so, sometimes its IP address changes if the router has assigned it a new one and windows is still trying to connect through its old IP. Edited by nzoomed at 2:26 pm, Fri 16 Jul nzoomed - 2021-07-16 14:25:00 |
| Process of elimination: Start by ascertaining whether the printer works in and of itself, irrespective of any kind of connection to wifi/computer or next doors fridge ! nice_lady - 2021-07-16 14:29:00 |

You might have been a bit clearer with that for the OP. nice_lady - 2021-07-16 18:27:00 |
| Have you seen or used this model printer? Is a utter piece of garbage. I think the warehouse were selling them for $20. A box of crayons would be a better investment. Edited by bitsnpieces2020 at 8:49 am, Sat 17 Jul bitsnpieces2020 - 2021-07-17 08:47:00 |
