All during the big 'drought', Watercare had the highest paid member of council at over $700,000 per annum salary - they can't build more infrastructure for the aging dams or increased population, but can afford to pay someone such a massive salary (with benefits and pay increases). | 4 | The really stupid thing is both the Auckland potable water and stormwater systems are overloaded and need billions spent on upgrades.
