Keyboard?

#Post

Hi guys, I'm so used to my laptop keyboard that despite being a good quality Logitech my desktop keyboard just feels "clunky".

Can anyone recommend me a laptop style wireless keyboard/mouse combo?

Run VNC on both machines, use the laptop to access your desktop as if you were sitting at it.

I've got a couple of "Microsoft USB Dual Receiver Wireless Keyboard" things that have a laptop size keyboard and a square trackpad mouse like a laptop, with a little dongle that plugs into the USB. It's quiet and easy to use, and I can put the computer to sleep and wake it up.

I still have a wired keyboard an mouse attached, I find I can crop pictures and zoom better with a wired mouse than two fingers on a trackpad.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I still need a conventional mouse (can't use a trackpad for CAD) but its the big clunky keyboard that's my issue.

Does it need to be wireless - HP have a corded slim keyboard with laptop style keys which should be what you looking for.

As per what I said in #3, I have the wireless keyboard and wired mouse attached at the same time, there's nothing to prevent multiple keyboards and mice.

The wireless trackpad mouse is quieter clicking on something late at night but as noted isn't accurate enough for CAD or photo editing, while the wired mouse clicks are loud but the action is accurate.

Thanks for the advice, it looks like that's the direction I'll be heading in. Have to say I've got no complaints re my wireless M720 Logitech mouse, it rocks!

I also should admit that at 65 years old despite having great dexterity (I worked as a professional musician for 35 plus years) I'm a two finger keyboard thumper - the problem lies with me not the keyboard!
