Editing pdf

#Post

When someone sends me a pdf form, I need to print out, fill out the details and then scan it to send back. Is there any free program where I could fill the pdf form without going through the long winded process? TIA

What operating system are you using please?

If you tell me, I will be able to do a google search for a free pdf editor for you.

Try it out and report back if you please.

you should be able to fill in a pdf form on screen with Acrobat reader. as long as the file has been saved as Reader Extended - this allows Reader to edit forms

It depends how the author of the form created it. Some are just boxes for you to fill in by hand but an author can create an electronic form where if the user is viewing it in something like Acrobat Reader they can type in data into the form fields.

Frankly, I wouldn't waste my time trying to edit a a "plain" form into an editable form. By the time you had learned the ropes and got the form into an editable state, you could have filled it in tens of times by hand.

Use Cloud Convert

Convert PDF to a Word File, edit what you want and then save as a PDF file.
Easy as.
