1 | If this isn’t on homes.co, and a google doesn’t bring it up. I know REA have a database thing but is there anywhere else to look? steve56467 - 2021-04-02 14:44:00 |

3 | Trademe provide this information on house sold prices and estimates of value if it hasn't sold recently, from the sales around it. It indicates if it's the actual price it sold for or an estimate and provides lots of other info oakcottage - 2021-04-02 14:56:00 |

14 | If on homes.co.nz its showing TBC then it will be other places as well - this is usually as hasnt settled yet it but also there often seems to be a big lag in the data - Agents generally dont want to tell you if its still conditional but some do so easiest is just to contact whoever sold it . If it went to Auction a lot of firms publish the auction results in various places. mikek - 2021-04-14 17:16:00 |

So when a house is sold and the council are officially informed of the sale, for rates purpose, is part of the notification to the council what the sale price was, and then does that then form part of the "public record" of that property ?? onl_148 - 2021-04-15 09:31:00 |
16 | yes. sparkychap - 2021-04-15 09:50:00 |

These "public" sources of house sale price I assume are limited to the price and the sale date, but do not include the name of the purchaser ?? onl_148 - 2021-04-15 16:56:00 |
20 | Its information about the house onl_148, not information about the seller or the buyer. Maybe check out one of the sites so you can see for yourself. mkr_ahearn - 2021-04-15 17:48:00 |

Yes, in most cases but it's fairly straightforward to find out who the current owner is as well as previous owners and selling prices etc. superdave0_13 - 2021-04-15 18:12:00 |
22 | Not all sale prices are public. We bought our current house privately from family (deceased estate) so the sale price is not public although maybe someone could ask the Council? Council sale code is 13 = Freehold, Non-arm's length and can never match the property Capital Value. toomanyhats - 2021-04-18 22:43:00 |
