Help please with Samsung Tablet apps crashing.

| 1 | Hi, I have a Samsung Tab A tablet. In the last two days when I try to open an app it starts to open then crashes and disappears. (happens to Google Chrome and search, Stuff, email app and others.) The same thing is also happening on my Samsung A10 phone. Tried restarts, hard shutdowns and rebooting everything incl the modem. | 2 | Yes, go to the Google Play store on both devices, click on installed apps, and find Android System Webview and download and install the update for this. This was an issue that google fixed pretty quickly - the same thing was happening on my phone. cube_guy - 2021-03-24 13:57:00 |
| 3 | Good one - two of our phones, a Sony and an Oppo, started doing this. The Oppo yesterday and the Sony today. Sorted it with updates but hadn't actually clicked to the issue with Android System Webview. I did a quick google yesterday but didn't get any particularly useful result. | 9 | The Stuff app is not causing all the other apps to crash, but the Stuff app is behaving poorly in a vacuum by itself. On our mobiles Stuff was freezing a lot before the Webview issue, and is still doing the same now after it. Maybe there was a rogue Stuff update that got released? cube_guy - 2021-03-28 17:52:00 |
