curious to know peoples opinion of hard copy newspaper real estate ads. Do buyers still look there or is it a waste of money when the house is also online?

Haven't read a newspaper in 30 years.

I pore through any hard copy newspaper ads I come across. We get a weekly one here and that is saved till Sunday to look......I found myself in similar company with a trader here saying that she read the ads if an item for her had come wrapped in newsprint with a real estate supplement.

It's a communication channel as they say and I would cover all bases if I was really keen to sell.

We bought a news paper specifically for the real estate ads when my son was looking for his first home, we also get a free weekly community newspaper which has several pages of real estate ads.
If I was looking for a house to buy I would be looking at every available source.

I suspect that *most* users start online, so you could spend the paper advertising money on a premium listing on TM and Real Estate to get maximum online exposure.

By the time the paper is released, you might have already sold the place via an online listing!

Waste of time IMO. But some people still read them. I have obtained those REA booklets they put in various shops and looked though.
But IMO 99% is online now.

Yep these days I phone my order through, so I don't have to read the Property Press whilst waiting for my fush n chups.

I haven’t had any for years, but if I think about the chips too long I start craving them.......

If you are the seller, its overpriced when you compare it to TM or social. If you are the agent sharing the ad space but contributing nothing financially it's awesome!!
