A/V transfer enquiry

#Post
1

I have just updated a video editing program, installing it onto my HP Pavilion laptop. It was easy to do on the old PC using RCA plugs and sockets. But how on earth do I get analogue A/V from say, an old video camera or from a DVD recorder etc so that I am able to edit the footage on the HP. I thank in advance anyone who can help me with this request.

You can buy a USB video capture dongle that plugs into the usb port of your computer. A common brand is Easycap which has RCA and Svideo input.

There are also better brands such as Hauppage and also video capture boxes which may give better results as well.
