| them please? I have just bought a used one, 440, for a young friend, and i can't get it going. The bobbins seem too big - when I put one it it seems to be too 'fat' if you get what I mean. Are they meant to be like that? I think it needs a new belt too, so I will look at that. TIA. yapper - 2021-01-24 12:05:00 |
| There are some plastic cone spacer things that you put inside each thread cone to make them fit. Or you can use 4 standard cotton reels. Is that what you mean??? They might be missing and should be easy enough to buy. Talk to you local bernina shop? lakeview3 - 2021-01-24 20:51:00 |
| Here the second picture where she is pointing to the plastic thing, that’s what I mean! I have a Bernette 134D and I have these things to put inside the thread cone. There are some other round discs you can put underneath as well. https://www.sewessential.co.uk/blog/beginners-guide-to-overl I do recommend calling a bernina centre though they should be able to help you. Love my bernina and my bernette. lakeview3 - 2021-01-24 20:57:00 |
| The OP is saying the BOBBIN is too big. OP just go to a sewing centre and tell them what kind of machine you have and ask them for the correct bobbin. mazalinas - 2021-01-24 22:30:00 |

| I have had the machine serviced and it came back with some bobbins. So problem solved. They cost $5.50 each which surprised me. Thanks for all the input folks. yapper - 2021-02-25 17:54:00 |
