If you buy a fridge (or anything) from Trade Depot, then I believe you will be lucky to hear from them if there is ever an issue with the item. My comments are based on my own experience of Trade Depot's customer service i.e. appalling.

why didn't you file in the dt to resolve issues?

As the saying goes " you get what you pay for" in other words pay cheap and get cheap inferior products. I have been repairing appliances for the past 20 years. I have never heard of or come across a brand called Iceland. Which may mean getting parts later on may be difficult. Phone some local fridge repair companies and ask for their opinion. Me personally I would never buy any appliances from Trade Depot. I have had to repair too many of them that were not that old but had serious faults.

At least they have a phone number and physical address, unlike some of the music promoters which use only an email address.

Trade Depot are subject to the Consumer Guarantees Act.

I bought a Tuscany freezer a few months ago - it's been fine. But if it broke down, I'd expect the seller to either fix, replace or provide a refund.

Sometimes. But sometimes you can have problems with an expensive product, and no problems with a cheap product. Cheap or expensive, businesses and traders are subject to the CGA.
