1 | Hi, which brands of continuous ink have people found good? - This is for a cannon Pixma printer. Thanks so much! zirconium - 2021-01-20 09:45:00 |
2 | Eh? nice_lady - 2021-01-20 10:47:00 |
3 | H nice_lady, you can buy them as an after-market addition, and yes, available for canon pixma printers, even with the fancy photo ink. :) However, i have no idea how they work, the reviews aren't showing for some reason. https://www.rihac.com.au/index.php/inklink-ciss-units-c-26 zirconium - 2021-01-20 11:11:00 |
4 | Why bother. We have a Pixma and I just buy compatible ink for it. Is around $35 for the full set of replacement inks. Edited by nice_lady at 11:49 am, Wed 20 Jan nice_lady - 2021-01-20 11:49:00 |
5 | I bought one and found the 3600 pages per tank was utter nonsense. I got 1334 and they refunded me. I went back to an old known good printer. lythande1 - 2021-01-20 12:05:00 |

9 | Just want to share my experience with continuous ink systems. I've found if installed well, use good quality ink and with printers that do not have stupid chip lockouts, it can work well BUT You should be a frequent user of the printer. If you only occasionally print. They have a habit of clogging and drying up, requiring you to do a flushing and cleaning procedure which is very messy. Or in some cases you need to buy a new cartridge because the inkhead gets totally blocked. dbest - 2021-01-25 12:26:00 |

Trader called Jerry science here on TM. Note: these are compatible carts NOT the OEM 'genuine' carts. But they have worked faultlessly in my printer since I bought it. Buggered if I'm going to pay $180 for a set of ink carts. Daylight robbery. Also these are just the ordinary carts NOT any kind of ' continuous' ones. 13 | https://www.affordableink.co.nz/pgi650xl-cli651xl-canon-ink- This is what I buy for my Canon Pixma printer. As you can see they are $34.00 for a full set of XL cartridges, I always order an extra Black one as well @ $9.00. If you buy a set of cartridges postage is free. These cartridges have never let me down and delivery is very prompt. mcdaff - 2021-01-26 01:42:00 |
14 | Just shows the profit margins on the OEM inks are outrageous! nice_lady - 2021-01-26 06:16:00 |

Yes, but they are losing money on the printers when they sell them, so need to make money on the ink. tygertung - 2021-01-26 09:52:00 |

One set of inks would more than cover the cost of your average inkjet printer. nice_lady - 2021-01-26 09:57:00 |
