1 | His cylinder was more than 50 years old it's amazing how these 2 came to this conclusion. His plumber said the failure of his hot water cylinder was caused by corrosion from chlorine in the city's water. His insurer said it was clear the damage was the direct result of council “negligence”. Neilson said he was shocked the tribunal sided with the council. He did not know what his options were now.
