You can fix most things, but you've provided us with pretty much no relevant information so it would be very hard to say.

Are you talking $700 Bose noise cancelling cans or $10 Countdown buds?

Ah NO. Headphones are NOT repairable. None ever have been made to be able to be repaired. NOT one. Sorry about that.

It can be fixed - difficulty comes with "enamel wire" (copper wires are coated with a very thin insulating layer) used in lots of headphones. Soldering those back can be done but a pain I found.

Somebody threw them out because they had this issue. You can't blame the charity that took the box that held this rubbish. Feel good for giving your cash to this charity, but, don't waste your time or your ears.

Well really pretty much anything is fixable of course. It just takes a little time and care. Can be a challenge and fun as well.

in my experience in repairing headphones.. the first thing is get them apart in such away that they can be put back together again.. many of those types of item are a "oncer" when it comes to building them !! Modern adhesive development has come a long way since they used to make glue by boiling up horses heaves !!

Depends on what kind. Reasonable cans can probably be repaired, but cheapies will be more difficult.

Put it this way. If they cost me $1000.00 then I'd be hoping like hell that they can be repaired.

I got a set of these and they are not too bad...

They are more on ear than around ear though. You have to have pretty small ears to fit inside the cans.

They go awesome though. 2 year warranty, can't go wrong.

Got that beautiful Sennheiser sound.
