Reusing jars

| 1 | I have reused some jars for mustard pickles and jam and with both some of the lids have 'popped' and some haven't so the question is -should I be concerned about the ones that haven't popped? the lids were all good with no rust or marks on the inside rims. suzanna - 2020-01-19 13:14:00 |

| 6 | I use them all the time for pickles and never had a problem, the one's I'm not sure about, I use first like gilligee said, even those ones have never gone mouldy. Not sure how jam would keep, as i don't make it any more. rainrain1 - 2020-01-19 16:58:00 |
| 7 | What samanya and rainrain said. And never had a dud yet. I have also used vegemite jars with the plastic lids that aren't meant to pop, and they seal just as well for long keeping. kaddiew - 2020-01-20 08:06:00 |
| 8 | You can reheat each jar separately in the microwave, and make sure the rim of the jar and the seal are both clean before resealing, and turn the jar upside down if they are cooling and havent popped.
