Hi I'm trying to check I have the correct person in a family tree but I have an address in the 1990s. They are now deceased and I have no one in the family to confirm this is the correct person.
We used to be able to go into Wellington Library and search electoral rolls from present day to the early 1900s. Does anyone know where I could go in Wellington now to do this kind of search?

They should still be in the libraries,email them and ask to be sure

Our central library is closed now (earthquake risk) and the branch onesonly have the current year.

National Library, family history section, used to have them on the shelves. It's a while since I've been, but haven't heard anything different.
They probably have the best family history resources in NZ.

Yes they still have electoral rolls after 1981. They also have the Habitation Indexes which can be searched by address.

The Auckland Public library does have them. If you are in no hurry I could do the look up for you sometime in the New Year. User name at that xtra place for contact.
