Hi I’d love a recipe for an icing made with packet marshmallows that firms up on a cake. I tried one found online but it was so sticky and very sweet people couldn’t pick the slice up without sticking to it! Anyone got a good recipe?

As marshmallow is made of a large amount of sugar (or corn syrup), with water, whipped up with a little gelatine, it's bound to be very sweet, I'm afraid, whether commercially or homemade.

The stickiness could be due to insufficient beating, lack of cornflour dusting, or even humidity.
