Re-sealing marmalade

#Post
1

Hi Yesterday I made six pots of marmalade and put the tops that have the wee button that goes down when there is a seal formed on them. I’m a bit cross with myself because I was being lazy as I usually put the seal cellophane and the elastic band top underneath. Of the six pots five have sealed properly but one hasn’t . I already have a few pots in the fridge that need to be eaten and sealed so I was hoping someone may have some ideas as what I could do to reseal the pot Is it possible just to heat it all up again and put it back into the pot put in the cellophane top on

you can reheat the marmalade in the jar in the microwave and reseal it when its really hot, check the lid to make sure its perfect where it seals, and if its ok and the lid doesnt pop reasonably quickly turning the jar upside down and giving a bit of extra time when its still warm often pops it too.

Have re sealed many in my time. Just do as above. Also make sure the lid is clean and the jar top is clean.

Thank you. I'v done this and fingers crossed it's sealed So much easier and less washing up than my initial plan of reheating it all in a saucepan!
