Food Bag and similar - anyone used them?

Thinking about using one of these services for busy times and wondering how good/bad you think they are and how you used them (all the time, or only occasionally, etc).

I haven't used them, but a few friends get the two person My Food Bag four days a week and they all love it. They are all quite good cooks but say that the preparation can often take longer than specified.

I tried one once, it was all good, and would buy another

Which one have you tried - my food bag, bargain box, Emma's food bag? These are the only ones I can find on a google search

I have tried Bargain Box but meals were pretty simple and I don't call burgers and fries a meal! Cheap cuts reflect the price. I use Food Box now and like the flexibility of adding/removing items.plus using my own recipes. The vegetables and meat are excellent and the bakery is good too. I buy a box about every 3 weeks.

Have hear that Hello Fresh was good too. My food bag looks like mostly carbs and basic food, totally overpriced.

Have used My Food Bag since it started, but not every week. Classic mostly, also Heat 2 Cook 2. Lots of veges, they aim for half a plate of veges, quarter of carbs, 150g lean protein. Always different carbs each meal - spuds, kumara, noodles (usually rice), rice, bulgur, pasta.

I have veggie folk staying tome to time and the veggie bags are perfect.

One thing not often mentioned is that the recipes are excellent for teaching kids to cook, and at the same time try different things. I give them one or more meal components to be in charge of.

Buy your own ingredients from the supermarket is certainly cheaper, but in some households money is not the only consideration.
