#Post

Have a 4.7 kilo slab of sirloin in my fridge, want to cut off a hunk to roast. Looked at online recipes all pretty ho hum - and I know I could do a standard roast beef however has anyone got any ideas for something a bit different and yum?

Roast it on top of a bed of cut up shallots or onions, makes the best gravy

Lazy Slowcooker sirloin roast.
Turn cooker on to high to heat, rub meat with oil brown in hot pan, slice 1-2 onions put in cooker, sit browned meat on top.
Mix 1/2 cup beef stock, tablespoon worcester sauce, tablespoon tomato paste, teaspspoon mustard, gr black pepper together, tip over meat.Lid on turn cooker to low cook about 7-8 hours depending on size of meat. Remove rest covered take out some juice and scoop out onions into a saucepan, thicken for gravy if you want.
