Searching an address in US census

| 1 | I have Ancestry but can't seem to find how to search for an actual address in their census. I have an address of 3454 East St, Philadephia, quoted on a baptismal record of a child born at sea and baptised in London on route to the USA in 1912/3. | 6 | Ahh, found the 2nd page you mentioned, and yes, that does confirm he was going to his brother James' home. James moved several times and I had wondered if there was another relation who lived at 3454 East St. Just hoping to find another link. We have only recently discovered Eileen's birth registered at St Dunstan and All Saints, Stepney. On looking at info on that church it seems it has associations with the sea and sailors etc and was often used to register births at sea. Hope this helps someone else. Also, the name Otway was not known to us at all, but it was the ship that Eileen was born on in the Bay of Biscay of all places. Thanks again for your help. sylvia - 2019-05-27 10:26:00 |

| 8 | Hi crab2. We do have a bit of info on the family but trying to look sideways now to see what we can find. John Bell, Eileen's father, was actually born Robert John Bell in 1880 in Coolhill, Co Tyrone and his brother James b 1882 same place. Robert John changed his birth cert to read John Robert and the year to 1882, such an amateur job so we got a copy of the original entry. These Irish - they try anything to hide eh! He came to NZ and his brother James went to Philadelphia. As an aside, we located on Facebook a couple of years ago descendants of James Bell and our daughter is going to meet up with her 'cousins' in NY in a couple of weeks time!
