Taste the Difference Air Roaster

#Post
1

Hi all.
Have just bought one of these secondhand. Was just wondering how good bad or indifferent people have found these machines. So far, I've cooked cheese on toast and reheated a couple of sausage rolls with success. Also was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to list the automatic menus for me in order pleas, as I'm totally blind and can't see the icons for myself. any help would be really appreciated.
Cheers

When our Mum could no longer see clearly, my sister punched out some labels with a Dymo label-maker and stuck them on the microwave so that Mum could feel them. A bit like Braille dots. You could use dots or patterns instead of words. Would this work on your roaster?

Thanks for the idea. However, the buttons on the roaster are raised enough that I can feel them, but there are several programs on the one button. Once I've learned the order of said programs I'll be able to use everything on the machine.

How do you post and read on the message board?

Hi Andrew - I am happy to help you but I don't know the model you have. I have looked on google and found a photo of a "Taste the difference Air Roaster and I can see the buttons on the roaster which are as follows. There are four buttons on the left of the roaster lid. The first one on the left says "Temperature". To the right of that the next button is the "Time" Now go back to the left directly under the temperature button is the minus sign. To the right of that and under the time button is the plus sign. There is an LCD panel which you wont be able to see but if you could that shows what programme you have set the machine to follow. There are also four raised buttons on the right of the lid. The first one on the left of those buttons is for "Rotation" , to the right of that is the "power" button. Directly underneath the power button the next button is the "Start/Cancel" button. Directly on the left of that Start/Cancel button is the "Menu" button. Hope that helps. I will now look up the Menu list and post them here shortly. programmes and com

andrew499 - The Menu button has displays all the different programmes and you press the menu button which will then display the programme for cooking fish. If you want to cook beef you press the button again and it will display the cycle for cooking beef and so on. I don't have the machine myself but I do have the manual. Have you got a friend that could possible press the menu button for you several times so he/she can write down what order the cooking cycles are in. Maybe the Blind Institute could help you. Once you have done that it is a matter of looking up in the manual what cycle you use to cook the type of meat you want to cook. There are recipes in the manual and they tell you what cycle to set the machine on and for how long. Hope all this helps you just post if you need any further help

Thanks for all your help and suggestions people. I'm actually going to ring the agents in the morning and see if I can get a copy of the manual emailed to me. As for posting on the message boards, my computer has speech on it which I use instead of a screen.

That's a good idea Andrew then you can be sure we are talking about the correct model. Good Luck?

If you know the model of the roaster and brand then toogle menu.. I have done this with my air fryer as I am visually impaired and found it easier to read online rather than the manual that came with my air fryer. Good luck.
