I always put mine in an oven bag and cook on low for 6 hours. I put no liquid in the bag.It is amazing how much fat comes out. Always just falls apart. Enjoy.????

I put an upturned saucer in the bottom of the dish and place the chicken on it breast side down. It always turns out lovely and moist and the chicken isn't sitting in the fat in the bottom of the pot. (the fat is used in my chicken fried rice later)

I did that with pork chops yesterday from frozen, they were so good, the meat was easy to shred. I cooked an oven jacket potato as well

Turn crockpot to high, place little plate upturned in bottom.
Rub chook all over with oil, mix together tablespoon curry powder, tablespoon paprika, tablespoon flour, teaspoon oregano teaspoon thyme teaspoon celery salt. Rub mix all over chicken, and put fresh herbs in cavity.
Put in cooker breast side up, cook 3 hours on high then 2-3 hours on low depending on size of the chook. This is Alison Holsts recipe and is nice and moist.

Thanks for these ideas. Tried it out on my elderly parents at the weekend and they both really enjoyed it It can be quite hard to find something that they both enjoy that is not a mission to prepare and cook. This was much appreciated!!!
