Not a recipe but looking for a shopping bag

#Post

I think they are nylon and squeeze into a small square that is zipped up? I remember them as a child, my Mum always had one in her purse. thought they would be ideal in this plastic bag free era. Something like https://beegreenbags.com/products/reusable-grocery-bags-with
-zipper-closure-foldable-into-zippered-pocket-folding-eco-fr
iendly-bag-for-girls-holiday-recycled-fun-bag-waterproof-xla
rge-recyclable

Does anyone know where you can get them please?

Here's another one more like it. https://www.amazon.com/iwill-CREATE-PRO-Shopping-Shoulder/dp

edamarefo-20&linkId=463923dc80d8c685bac4d9028566fd8c

Hopefully somewhere in NZ sells them?

New World had some that 'scrunch' up into a small corner (with a citrus print), secured by a toggle, so it looked like a little lemon. Our daycare gave everyone one for wet gear. They're really cute, but I can't find them online.

I bought a nylon one from Whitcoulls of all places, doesn't zip up but you fold it into a wee matching bag that has a dome. It was only $6 and is still going strong after four months of continual use. I was in there last week (Dunedin) and they still had them on the counter.
Have another I bought in Payless plastics, slighter more expensive ($12 I think) this folds in on itself. Also have one I think from Postie.
None are zipped.
I remember the ones you mean with the zip, the only one I've seen here belonged to a woman who had bought it on an Aussie holiday.

The guy ate the checkout at New World gave me one a few months ago that folded up into a strawberry print covering secured by a toggle also, very cute and fits into a corner of my handbag...not sure if they still have them ?

Bed, Bath and Beyond - I think I've seen some similar there.
The New World ones were a temporary promotion and I don't think you can get them now.

Thanks, will keep looking for the zip ones, but those notsocks ones would be ok if I can't find what I want.

Not any help to you, but my dad bought me and my sisters one each back from Thailand. When open has a zipper compartment/pocket, but you can scrunch it all up into that pocket which you can zip up from other side and turns into a tiny, maybe 5-7cm square packet which is very easy to carry in your bag - or in my case glove box. Would love to see these imported into NZ.
ETA just had a look on Ali express, so many cool foldable bags on there, like the fish one......so cute.

These are great bags, hold lots and quite strong too. They fold up really neatly and perfect to carry in your handbag.

We keep some of those nauru in the glove box. My husband just pops one in his pocket when he goes to the shops so if he needs it he has it but it is so small when folded there is no bulk in his pocket. They are very strong and very convenient.

Have a look on that Ali express website I posted above...not the same as mine but not to far off, theres some lovely colours available, I still like my one better, perfect for getting a few items from the supermarket, I should really use it more often, I just tend to struggle out of the four square with my hands full, gonna drop something one day. I work in a garden centre, and we no longer give out boot liners, instead we offer recycled newspaper, we do have cornstarch?? biodegradable bags but I never offer these and hardly anyone asks for one, ts good to see more and more people bringing in their own plastic bins to put their plants in.

My mum gave me one that's nylon, folded it looks like a small vinyl wallet, with and extra zipped pocket for coins .Once unfolded the outside wallet part becomes the base of the bag.

They are usually called Scrunchy Bags. Plenty on here.

Yes!
I was just looking at the 'notsocks' bags thinking, that's just like my $1 countdown one!
They're great!
