Plenty of information on it . The trees that are created are just as inaccurate as other sites due to poor input and then others copy the incorrect info into their trees. Can never understand this. They have access to NZ probates which is a bonus. nbrob - 2019-03-08 09:00:00 |
6 | I use family search but "take it with a grain of salt " on the trees like nrob mentions. hymac - 2019-03-08 09:34:00 |
7 | FamilySearch have been busy digitising all their microfilm collection which has a huge variety of records - and is free. You need to visit an affiliate library to view but in conjunction with the NZSG they are popping up everywhere! They have them at the FRC in Auckland, National Library in Wellington and the NZSG Branches in Christchurch, Kapiti and the Wairarapa either have or nearly have it. FindMyPast and Ancestry are the same but different. I've noticed recently when looking for DNA matches that trees on Ancestry where the family is located in Devon and Lincolnshire run out when the census info runs out. That's because those records are on FindMyPast. It depend on where you're looking which is the best one for you. I use both! rednicnz - 2019-03-08 10:03:00 |
